Hey TSF What "Frankenstein express" and "Midnight Express" are both based c&o l1 hudson steam locomotive sounds like SP 2472 sound by CoasterFan2109 By mike armstrong
The only reason why the sounds of the L1 Hudson sounded like SP 2472 was because finding audio of this particular locomotive was really hard to find on the internet despite their livelihoods during the 1930s which technology at that time such as audio recording wasn’t as prevalent compared to today so instead I used Mike Armstrong’s audio samples and credited him for a general steam engine sound because it’s difficult to find real steam engine train sounds despite their limited times they run and this was only a Halloween special to not be super accurate. Maybe one day I will go out somewhere and record my own train audio such as steam and diesel.
The “Frankenstein Express” and the “Midnight Express” are both based off C&O Class L-1 Hudson 4-6-4 wheel arrangement locomotives that served streamlined services back in the 1930s however the steam engines weren’t that successful and there was rarely any audio recordings of these engines and instead I used audio of SP 2472 instead recorded by CoasterFan2105 aka Mike Armstrong, a well known famous Railfan that is from a video on a galore of steam engines.
Fun fact, I have rode that train a long time back in the mid or late 2000s when I was a little boy which would be an interesting animation in Minecraft for that train as a memory lane.
I’m currently working on another crash that involves a Semi car carrier colliding with a Amtrak train. I would hopefully do chase md when I get the chance.
