  • My dwarf conifer collection. Mostly White Pines, Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce.
Ive been a conifer enthusiast for about 20 years now.
Many of these have been planted in the last two years.
Ive moved a few times in the last six years and I have managed to take some.
A few nurseries I ordered from are Conifer Kingdom, Mapleridge Nursery, Mr. Maple and a few local nurseries.
Please comment if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

I have been picking out small evergreens for winter interest to add to my garden for the last month- what a great montage to view and see several of them in here! Thanks for posting this.

What a fantastic video, thank you for the inspiration!
I am considering starting a dwarf conifers nursery; just specialty trees.

These are all around your house? Gives me confidence that the 40 odd conifers I have in pots, waiting to go in will all find their place in my garden

Yes, and I have a small 40x100 lot. I just try to space them correctly that they won't touch for at least 10 years.

@@coffinspiremgmt 40x100? Foot or yards? I'm not in America sorry, not sure how you measure

@@lunch2102 Yes In Feet, I usually just look up the height and width of the specimen in 10 years and the mature height and make a decision. I have mostly dwarfs(3-6 inches per year) and intermediate (6-12" inches per year) sized conifers. Dwarfs I have left about 4ft apart and intermediate about 6ft apart. Im crazy...I plant with a measuring tape in hand to make sure they are spaced enough. Worse comes to worse you can transplant them in the fall or spring if they end up growing too close. Iseli nursery and the American conifer society has almost every size listed. Iseli Nursery is a huge conifer grower in the United States, they supply all of North America.

Yeah I've seen Iseli all over the net when looking up particular varieties I see on TH-cam, they seem to have just about everything, im lucky that my local nursery is "Conifer Gardens" while they don't have every conifer, they do have a ridiculous range and I can spend hours walking around their gardens, they have a great range on display and have been there for over 40 years so everything is good and mature.
I have mostly dwarf and intermediate, I have a handful of large, your spacing makes sense and when I'm finally able to plant I will use something similar.
