I think I need to queue this video up every night so it's the first thing I see every morning when I sit down at my computer. I feel like watching it over and over again will help me make some major changes. Thank you.
I found this very helpful. While I am retired (12 years now), I am very active with my hobbies and volunteer pursuits. While I do get a lot accomplished, I'd like to be even more productive. I feel that I've lost my way a bit in retirement - I was more productive when I was younger. It may not be completely a matter of slowing down with age but possibly being less organized and more distracted by all the fun opportunities that come my way.
Exactly how I feel since being retired! Since retirement my “structured” day is gone. Now the day is wide open with so many choices and opportunities it can become overwhelming! I like the ideas in this video and feel it is a good thing for retirees.

Saying NO to immediate urgent tasks requested by the boss and only starts working on this after your routine priorities simply means saying Yes to no bonuses and increments. If you don't prioritize your boss's work, your boss also won't prioritize you over promotions, bonuses as well.
Then, your boss and you should talk about the tasks you are working on and their importance. If the dailys are not important to have priority, so why do you work on them? If anything your boss gives you is more important than the work you are supposed to do, maybe someone should just be employed to fullfill the tasks your boss come on with.
Are there any that feel like they will have a more positive impact on your life than the others? If you can't think of any maybe make that your top priority. Take the time to really think about where you want to be going? What ways do you want to be improving your life? Make a list and then look at the list and prioritize the things that will give the greatest effect. Meaning that they may help in multiple areas of your life. For example exercise... if you're not already doing that.. can have wonderful effects on your body but also on your mind and mental well being and therefore can improve multiple areas of your life.
Something that stood out to me in this video is when you were talking about rituals. You mentioned that the week day was the part of the week that you enjoyed the most because you had rituals, and the weekend was void of rituals. Actually, this isn’t true; you do have rituals, and they are ramshackle on the weekend. Not eating healthily, not exercising, etc. are rituals. We all have the opportunity to make good choices and stick to a productive plan no matter if it’s a week day or the weekend. Cheers!
Weekends are for taking a break? If you strictly 'work' on weekends the way you work on weekdays, when will you feel like you are taking a break, please?
This is a agree to disagree situation you have to use discernment. Some things of urgency ..may have to take priority over other things. Situation when you just have to say no. The key is communication in ALL situations.
While it feels so amazing, there is always something that just… pokes at me from the back of my brain and makes me start feeling uncomfortable and feel slightly worthless… such a vicious cycle….
To develop good habits successfully: • 1st Habit) Organize tomorrow today. 0:00 1) --> Identify the 3 most important tasks (ideally before lunch). Identify the most important among the three. 4:05 2) --> If you can't do important tasks right away, at least spend 1 minute on them. Use the momentum after the 1st task to do the 2nd. 4:19 3) --> Remember: Others will prioritize for you if you don't. 4:28 • 2nd Habit) Say "no" when needed. 4:42 1) --> Identify the "no matter what" (important) task. Who's priorities are you working on? Yours, or somebody else's? Schedule "urgent" tasks for later if possible. 2) --> Be productive, not just busy, by saying to others "no" to progress disruption when possible. • 3rd Habit) Laser focus on and do one thing - the most important thing - at a time. Be productive, not just busy. 8:28 ____ Three phases of habit formation: 12:05 » Phase 1 - Honeymoon phase 12:51 » Phase 2 - Struggle phase - experience obstacles here - this phase is graveyard for many habits. This takes the blindfold off and you know what you're up against. Focus on positive "if I win" rather than the negative "what if I lose". 14:10 3) --> Why? How will I feel if I win this struggle? Don't dwell on "How will I feel if I lose?" 15:09 4) --> Life Projection. What will your life be like in 5 years if everything goes well? 15:31 » Phase 3) --> Second Nature. Don't let your guard down yet. 3 big monsters ready to attack: 16:04 1) --> Discouragement monster. Inner doubts. Don't let unproductive results trip you up. Remember progress always comes in spurts. 16:21 2) --> Seduction of success monster. Don't sabatoge your progress with too many "exceptions". And... "Why should I bother?" Don't entertain this question. 17:09 3) --> Disruption monster. Don't let a disruption (a common event) trip you - get back into the swing *slowly*, not quickly, else you'll go back to struggle phase. 17:47

These are so well done, and you clearly put a lot of time and effort into them. One tiny detail would make them look a little more finished- in your text boxes, put periods at the end of your sentences. You do it to divide two sentences, and you (usually) put a question mark at the end of your questions. This one tiny difference would make your text boxes look a little more professional and give them continuity. Nice work!
Some good advice, but remember that your priorities may not be your company’s priorities and your company is the one that pays you. So many people I see get fired don’t understand this.
hahahahaha make that 5 year question, one year. In three years time, I ended a marriage, moved out, quite my job, find a new partner, moved in with him, married him, started my own company, moved to a new country, got a dog, almost died, had massive surgery.... and in year 4 I'll get a new heart... The question where are you in 5 years... is so very unrealistic.
So it before lunch time or before going to bed? the video first say before lunch time but then talks about mathematicians who had problems before going to bed? so what is the best time?
I wouldn’t take the advice so much about saying no because life is honestly truly about helping others giving and being generous obviously we all need boundaries but this can be completely misinterpreted therefore causing more and more narcissism that’s already on the rise
The most important task is painting the outside of my house. Tomorrow will be a good and dry day to do it. The next, quite unexpected, it is raining cats and dogs... there goes my planning. What is important is seldom urgent, what is urgent is seldom important
This was a great video 🙂 I know now WHY I've been gaining that extra 20 lbs! (geeze I Know!) =#2 Seduction of success! But... I won't beat myself up over it. Like great learning of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) it begins just recognizing your patterns of behaviors. Try and try again!

You do it to divide two sentences, and you (usually) put a question mark at the end of your questions. This one tiny difference would make your text boxes look a little more professional and give them continuity. Nice work!
@candacerushing6882. Why don’t you organise your own day rather than trying to tell someone else what to do with theirs?
Well said. Nice input.
Thank you very much....
Great video!!
Thanks, Meg!
4:29 that's why I like your channel it's so true.
Some good advice, but remember that your priorities may not be your company’s priorities and your company is the one that pays you. So many people I see get fired don’t understand this.
Great video....thank you!!!xxx
thanks for the video. your videos have helped me a lot
Thanks a lot dear Aman for spending your valuable time watching my videos :)
Atomic habit is a good book.
I really love your videos. Can you please summarizes millionaire fast lane. Joel from Nigeria.
Meet a Nigerian prince who wants to give you their money.
Great video! Very well done.
Great content!
Thanks for watching Dear Leex :)
hahahahaha make that 5 year question, one year.
Prioritizing is doomed. Don't prioritize your schedule. Schedule your priorities 👌
As long as you are motivated...
So it before lunch time or before going to bed? the video first say before lunch time but then talks about mathematicians who had problems before going to bed? so what is the best time?
Thanks!
Very helpful🙏
I wouldn’t take the advice so much about saying no because life is honestly truly about helping others giving and being generous obviously we all need boundaries but this can be completely misinterpreted therefore causing more and more narcissism that’s already on the rise
Keep working towards a better life and stop comparing with others! The only person you need to compare is your old self.
Try making them shorter they are good videos though
The most important task is painting the outside of my house. Tomorrow will be a good and dry day to do it. The next, quite unexpected, it is raining cats and dogs... there goes my planning.
What is important is seldom urgent, what is urgent is seldom important
Excellent
This was a great video 🙂 I know now WHY I've been gaining that extra 20 lbs! (geeze I Know!) =#2 Seduction of success! But... I won't beat myself up over it. Like great learning of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) it begins just recognizing your patterns of behaviors. Try and try again!
I think These are not questions which you put. I think is the best way to write all questions by sequences and then you can see 2,4,6th questions. There was too many questions but some of them depends each others . for example
1. 4:37 After this question comes "yours or somebody else's?>>. I think these is a one question.
Next one
2. 5:00 following by 5:06 > and then 5:10 then 5:24 are these as one or different questions?
... so on. there are few that questions.
if we will separate all these questions then there are more than 20 questions. I was written most of them shortly on my whiteboard. Otherwise we should separate them by grouping.
I want to improve my english so I want to know.
Nice, lets try point 1 and 3
Great stuff!!
Does anyone know the people with enough time so you can delegate your tasks to them?
very good video
I have difficulty with "'focus on one thing at a time''
What if a task is important but time-consuming to complete, like getting a new place to live?
RIght!!!
thanks
