- Just thought you guys might want to see a bit of a deeper look into the stuff in my game room. It may not be the most interesting for some people but if you enjoy it than im glad.
part 2 will be coming somewhat soon.
What I really like about your room is that it's constantly changing, this shows that you're avidly active either playing or repairing/modding. Seriously, to me, you're what defines a gamer.
Loved the tour, your collection is really impressive. Glad to see someone is taking good care of classic games out there. A lot of people nowadays have no appreciation for the classics.
Now why do I always have a smile on my face watching Luke's videos?! Cause they are the best of what youtube can offer.
Man, with your collection you could establish your own retro gaming museum! Walking through your place would be worth a trip to Japan in itself. haha, just amazing!
Man, great to see all the old stuff you've got in your collection as well as the newer items, all in one video. Seeing a lot of the old items you've collected really takes me back man. Seeing that Famicom Titler again really takes me back to the early days of your videos, great memories for me man. Awesome vid as always! Looking forward to part 2 =)
Getting rid of duplicates will really save you a lot of space, Luke. Like, throw a way any duplicate controllers and power cables you have and just have one set to serve that purpose. All those cables will drive me crazy!
Luke, I'm in awe. I can only wish to aspire, that one day I can have a collection that is as seasoned as yours.

Those drawers are like elaborate spacial puzzles haha. I have a descent collection of stuff and the best and worst feeling is when you completely fill a shelf. Its looks nice right now, BUT you know you'll get something else soon and then you'll be screwed :P. Anyway, thanks for putting this up, really neat to see what is hiding in your room. I love the boxed SNES stuff, but I was only a kid when it was cheap, and now its all way out of my budget range. Don't even get me thinking about gameboy.

Luke, great video. You have one amazing man cave. I could spend hours going through your drawers!! ;) My collection is mostly all put away in the attic, games are in disc holders and hidden on shelves. :( I want a man cave too!! Look forward to part 2.

I bow to your collection of awesomeness on so many different systems. Also surprising to know that back in the day, Japan was no different in trashing boxes that just seemed like trash at the time after you got the game out and only now is boxes showing value. Also premium MegaDrive finds I see. You can't exactly just find Vampire Killer or Moonwalker boxed in Japan easy, I know that much.
You do very well with the space you have available, but my word you have a lot of cool stuff :)

And I agree, I hate to see old games and paraphernalia being destroyed or thrown away. I've seen photos of several perfectly working arcade cabinets being dumped into a landfill, just because they couldn't find buyers in time.
It felt pretty bad.
That was fun to see all the hidden areas of your game room.
Man i could live in there for months playing all those fantastic game collection.

Thanks for posting this and don't let the jealous commenters get ya down. Everyone's a critic when they can sit safely in their underwear looking at someone else's stuff. Don't feel like you have to defend or justify your collection. :-) I do hope you are able to display more of your stuff someday if you get more space! I've only been collecting for a few years and have been trying to stick to Minty consoles and CIB games, but I respect that you're willing to hang onto the gnarly stuff. ;-)

People tend to throw the word hoarder around way too leniently, there is obviously a difference between a collector and someone who leaves shit lying around and practically drowns in it.
As long as it doesn't come in the way of your every day life and you enjoy the collecting, I don't really see any problems with it. And this is coming from a guy whose mother was an actual hoarder.
Impressive collection, Do you get more excited by finding rare hardware or games ( for consoles specifically)? One of these days I need to head over to Japan for a couple days with a few empty suitcases. :) sooo many systems there I want to pick up!

Always loved japanese n64 boxes and box art. You got a fantastic super famicom collection, from my experience acquiring f-zero and super mario world for super famicom boxed those two go for good coin these days. Sometimes I debate about selling some imports I got, like my mint super famicom boxed copy of kirby super star deluxe since I got the wii collection, can be a tough call considering how sought after they are. As for night trap I have seen the mega cd version go for cheap online.

For some reason I was more intersted in the non Japanese games you have haha. I was saying "Whats that NES game?" Hey there are SNES games in there with those SFC games! What are they?" You should do a video on that one day. All your non Japanese games. Anyways cant wait for part 2!

With so many games...how do you ever pick something to play? I have but a tiny fraction of the number of games you own and I can sometimes take FOREVER to decide on something to play when I don't have something new.
