- Doctor Who has landed the TARDIS with a double-episode premiere! While we've watched Episode One: "Space Babies", we're now in for a treat with a trip to the 1960's. Here's our Doctor Who "The Devil's Chord" Review. The second episode stars Jinkx Monsoon as "Maestro", a dangerous villain for The Doctor. Like the first episode, Showrunner Russell T Davies is the writer. However, Director Ben Chessell takes the helm for this adventure with The Beatles!

Title: The BEST Villain! - Doctor Who "The Devil's Chord" - Review
#DoctorWho #DrWho #JinkxMonsoon
Awesome villain!!! I hope Maestro becomes a recurring character who we see again, hopefully in a future episode with Neil Patrick Harris The Toymaker. That would be fun, and seeing Maestro team up with other villains as well. Such a strong character can't be used once nor shelved for long.
The Maestro reminds of Divine from Pink Flamingos
Considering where the show was, thought the 1st 2 episodes were good.
Jinx was brilliant, As musical episodes go this was perfect I still have nightmares about SNW *shudders*, It's clear Ruby is part of something much bigger apparently those at the premier were told watch out for episode 4 that's when the jigsaw finally starts being put together I really hope this is correct because they always cram reveals into the last 15 minutes and it always feels rushed. Haters are always going to hate, Not going to lie in the final season under Chibnall I stopped watching. The news about DT retired is brilliant I dont want him there "Break in case of emergency" or that's saying the show is now reliant on one person. The energy the pair bring to the show is much needed and the chemistry between them. Ruby feels like she's been there for years that's always a good sign.
the thing is that the beatles couldn't read musical notes so they would not have any idea what notes were on top of the piano. the susan "twist" is that she's probably the one who waits. we need more camp villains like maestro. jinkx really hit that one out of the park
Old woman in first episode is his grand daughter
she remind me of rita repulsa
I respect everyone's opinions, and I'm happy that some people enjoyed it, but in my opinion so far this series (and the 60th) has been rubbish! Its just been full of poor characters (apart from The Doctor, Ruby and their dynamic), pampering, unoriginal scripts, over the top acting and childish jokes. I do have high hopes for 'Boom' though, I like character driven episodes and I have faith in the abilities of Moffat to deliver a good one!
I agree the side characters have been a little sub par, but Maestro and The Toymaker were fantastic characters. Chaotic, menacing and bizarre. I do hope it's only a one series arc and they return to regular Sci-Fi eventually, but it's a fun change of pace!
For me over the top acting stands for the Peter Capaldi years.
The Devil's Chord was one of the great doctor who episodes and Maestro is an awesome villian.
@@Sammelwuetiger I view that as a very strange opinion, but that's the great thing about Doctor Who, there's always something for everyone 🙂
Well that was shit.
Hard disagree, best non-special episode since 2017.
@@Sparx632 there hasn’t been any doctor who since 2017
@@wardjunior1450 oh get off with that immature attitude, obviously there has regardless of its quality.
@@Sparx632 forget the poor quality, I’m talking about the timeless child and bigeneration.
@@DrPickle205 who cares? The hundreds of millions of whovians care.
