This is cool stuf. Reminds me of Flying Lotus and Psychic TV in a sense that it's very original edge music material. Very cool and eerie. Chiron is called the wounded healer because of a wound he received from a poisoned arrow. In his attempts to heal himself he researched far and wide for a cure and so became proficient in being able to heal others. Through dealing with his own incurable wound, he had intimate knowledge of suffering, in all its forms.
this feedback means so so so much to me! thank you for taking the time to let me know. I adore Flying Lotus and Psychic TV, and am super honored to be a reminder of them 😻 I have another video on here, with more animation of a milk thistle...the milk thistle, a common food source for the monarch butterfly, was also used as poison for arrows. The archetype of the wounded healer means a lot to me; it's a beautiful story ❤ thanks again ✨💓
also to note...the poison arrow that pierced Chiron was additionally dipped in the blood of the Lernaean Hydra, of which some say was (after being slain by hercules) resurrected to become a protector of the underworld, alongside Cerberus
@@overculture Very interesting! Thank you. I hope it makes great inspiration for your creation(s). I like (your) originality in music so Ill check your channel out. i do know that they have arguably very big differences, in different mythologies... and that their names, in greek, are not as similar as just one letter... I like to compare and contrast ideas, cross reference similarities, and draw my own conclusions. it's important to know that yes, according to text they are not directly related. Chiron was a teacher and healer and centaur; while Charon was a ferryman to the underworld. However, Chiron did give up his immortality when he was poisoned by Hercules in place of Prometheus.
@@bananasarehealth_7159 i think it's also interesting to note that Chiron was born son of the Titan Cronus, and the Oceanid Philyra, making him in the form of a Steed - by definition meaning "for riding"... I realize that this all is a bit of a stretch, and am open minded to any arguments, but it is fun to imagine.

@@BEASLAND000 lmaooo 🤣 wait what?!
i'm confused. Is this about Chiron or about Charon?
i don't believe there is a difference - besides time and translations of a very old story, unless I am mistaken.
