If there is a failure of the mining containment facility at any point from now until the end of time, all marine life in the Bristol Bay watershed will die. Not worth the risk. The salmon industry there is already worth more than a billion dollars annually.
The fish and wildlife will not be effected by the mine. They just released environmental reports on their mining processes and the environmental impact. There won’t be any effect on the wildlife or water quality. The benefits of the mine would bring jobs, a form of income for the state, and keep the USA on top for production of copper and gold and other metals while maintaining respect for the wildlife and local citizens. Just kinda seems like people are pushing this mine away for personal benefits like AOC did to Amazon in New York which would’ve really helped the locals right now with so many jobs needed in the area.

Commercial fisheries have ruined black Bay in lake superior in Ontario now that is a fish sanctuary for walleye. Also gasoline engines pollute our water ways stop them from doing that too. If the commercial fisheries are talking then they are hypocrites who are ruining the fisheries already.
