This song is always nostalgic and heart-wrenching because everytime a sad scene is on, especially regarding Kagome and Inuyasha (and Kikyo which always causes Kagome's heartbreak) this song always appears. It makes me so sad listening to it yet I enjoy the feeling of sadness. When this song appears in the anime, I automatically sympathize Kagome's feelings.
Sorry Kikyo's heartbreak? Ever thought of hers? She died thinking Inuyasha betrayed her, brought back to life by some witch (which she despised) and went mad, thought Inuyasha got her replaced and enraged with jealousy, become Naraku's victim, died again without the opportunity to be with Inuyasha (again).
Please, she suffers the most and is the backbone of Inuyasha series. Also, Kagome is her incarnation. In other way, Inuyasha ended up with Kikyo's soul.

因為欺騙犬夜叉，桔梗犧牲自己，隨著犬夜叉一起死，我本來很討厭桔梗，覺得犬夜叉瞎了，怎麼看上那種人的，但後來真的覺得桔梗是被逼的，覺得桔梗很可憐…

Coincidentally, I'm rewatching Inuyasha and this song was used as background music on episode 117 that I'm currently in, when Kagome is crying while looking for Inuyasha together with Koga.
Where did you watch the series? Stopped at season 2 bc netflix didn’t have the succeeding seasons help badly need to finish this awesome anime :’)
