Knitting colorwork continental style, Fair Isle with short floats

Colorwork for continental style knitting with 2 colors. Fair Isle with short floats. I'm holding both colors in the left hand without twisting the yarn.
I prefer darker color as my first strand of yarn, the ball with darker color always stays on the left side. The second, lighter color stays on the right side.

I also knit colourwork in continental and I've found that it's a lot easier if you can separate the two strands better on your finger. I do that by having the strand closer to my body (my "accent" colour) wrap over my index and the "background" colour strand wraps under then over. This makes it a lot easier to not accidentally pick up both strands. Great video though!

You're the first person I've seen who knits continental with both colors for colorwork like I do!! I'd be interested to see how you would handle the yarn doing longer floats because working English style and continental at the same time to catch floats isn't working for me lol.

Dies ist eine kurze Zusammenfassung dessen, was ich im Video sage: Ich halte beide Farben in der linken Hand, ohne das Garn zu verdrehen. Als ersten Faden bevorzuge ich eine dunklere Farbe, das Knäuel mit der dunkleren Farbe bleibt immer links von mir. Das Knäuel mit einer zweiten, helleren Farbe bleibt auf der rechten Seite und der Faden liegt auf dem Finger näher an der rechten Nadel.
Bevor ich die Farbe ändere, ziehe ich bereits gestrickte Mashen auf die rechte Nadel, damit der Flott dahinter genug Länge hat und den fertigen Stoff nicht quetscht. Ich habe die erste Farbe wie üblich aufgenommen und die zweite Farbe wird über der ersten Farbe aufgenommen. Der Float der 2. Farbe befindet sich immer näher an der Nadel und die 1. Farbe etwas darunter.
