In this video I am exploring the Mind blowing and very interesting place of bangladesh which is shankhari bazar, It is the Hindu market. all the shops are owned by hindu, Here it feels like you are in India. I had many interesting conversation with the people in the market. Which tells us about the life of Hindus In Bangladesh. For me personally it is among the top tourist places in Bangladesh. You should include it in your places to visit in Bangladesh and Dhaka. Specially if you are an Indian tourist. You will learn so much about the Hindus of Bangladesh. You will see so many Hindu temples in this market that you will be surprised.
My ancestors are from Chittagong, Present day Bangladesh. After partition they came here. Nice to see Hindus in Bangladesh.

We do have vagetarian hindu hotel in Bangladesh. Come to Chittagong. You can search by typing Govindas hotel Chittagong or bishnupriya hotel Chittagong. Both runs by tha prabhus of iscon. This hotels have multiple branches in Chittagong.
Bangali hindu not vegetarian they are non vegetarian..... They eat mutton, chicken, fish, duck, rabbit, tortoise and so on... Culturally there are so far different between Bengali Hindus and north Indian Hindus....

As far as I know this place is near the Dhaka University and was completely massacred during 1971 Bangladesh's Liberation War against Pakistan, and also local Hindus were butchered both after the Hazratbal incident and Babri demolition. Although Hindus are present there, it's also important that they're protected from Islamist radicals.

Very few Hindus exist in BD. Both my grandfathers left BD (then East Pakistan) in 1947. We were born in India. Many Hindus were converted to Islam some converted to Christianity, You missed a vegetarian restaurant. In 1971 Pakistanis killed the Hindus mercilessly. Any time there is a communal riot these helpless Hindus are attacked. I have located my village in BD where we were the zamindars. One of my BD friends was kind enough to send a video of our haveli. That was aam makha made from green mangoes. Thank you for sharing this video.

It’s same in whole country. There might be some exceptions. But it’s same everywhere. I have grown up in a suburban area. I saw hindu community in my nanas village too. Never seen any tension. Here hindu community lives side by side with the Muslim community. I have never seen any communal tension. All the tension happened are mostly near indian border city and village.

The problem is that, a big portion of the indians think that Hindus are not doing well here in Bangladesh. We Hindu-Muslims all live peacefully here. And more importantly, you guys shouldn't be wondered to see a Hindu market like that. We have a score of markets which are mainly controlled by our beloved Hindu communities. They have separate markets, where Muslims and Hindus all are mutual consumers.

Firstly, there is absolutely no doubt that Hindus face enormous amount of bigotry especially since Jammaati managed to gain influence. The Ahmedis are probably treated worse and absolutely heinous that people are not treated equally. I am not an expert, there has been some who have migrated but the bigger fall in % is due to birth rate. The average Hindu family tends to be much smaller than a Muslim family.
