    As sad as the Sabres loss made me yesterday, Levi looking so good made that pain way way better.

      But to have that trash Ekblad goal go in was so brutal. 21 year old goalie playing in his second game should not be the best player on the ice but he was by far. Wow that game really bothered me.

    To me he makes other nhl goalies look lethargic. He’s unbelievably quick, really solid reactions and anticipation too. I’m blown away, the guy plays like an all star at 21!

    He will be the next one, move along Brodeur, Roy, Hasek.. this guy will set ALL the goaltending recorda, mark my words.

      Really ? I like how he holds himself . And yeah for how young he is he’s skilled . But beating brodeur Roy Hasek or even Fleury . Those are major feats . But Time will tell

    This kid is only 21 years old…….usually goalies need years to develop properly, yet Levi is here and ready at age 21.
    Amazing

  • @ravensshadow2179
    @ravensshadow2179 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you look at the goals he let in, it makes it more amazing. The first was a block shot that was batting in on the fly with a almost high stick, the second everyone lost the puck beside the guy that scored. Third was a shot he block went off the crossbar hit his blocker and went in and the last was tipped at the last second. So he hasn't been bet cleanly yet.

    Levi is the dominator 2.0. Just watch the highlight saves he made and this is just his first games in the NHL. The home crowd were shouting his name. I have a feeling Panthers may regret trading him and the pick that we used to pick Kulich for Reinhart. Sabres are going to be a force in a couple of years. This year was just three or four more wins from a play-off position.

    He wasn't even beaten by a direct shot in his first game. The bounce off the glass to his back and in was just bad luck, and the other was a great stick by Kakko to knock it in out of the air.

    • @theharvesterproject6779
      @theharvesterproject6779 ปีที่แล้ว

      2nd game either... 1st goal hit the post then bounced in of him.. 2nd goal was a slot deflection.. 2 games and no goals went in of a direct shot.

    Saw him in the Juniors...knew he was going to be a great goalie. So many teams passed on drafting him...makes you think that scouts don't actually pay that close attention to the World Juniors tournament.

      I believe the reason he fell so far was because of where he played (CCHL) and his height. Roberto Luongo insisted that Florida had to draft him

    I am a Sabres fan but I’m not mad that we lost against Florida bc when was the last time we lost 2-1 I think Levi could be a star goalie I’m very excited to see him play more

    There is no way predict that this guy going to be better than Dominic Hasek. No way. Many goalkeepers have great first games in NHL since they are new for scorers. Lets wait until this guy going to have at least 50 game, until then is one of prospect who may or may not be great.

    I'm really digging the kid. That glove hand of his is lightning quick as is his side to side. I love how as soon as he makes a glove save, he quickly jumps up, quickly spins around to the net and takes his drink. You can tell he has strong habits. He's most def an unusual cat with non norm tendencies. Like his meditation technique during TV time outs. I think thats pretty cool. The Force is def strong in him lol I'd be interested to see what a douchebag like Brad Marchand would do to him while he's meditating. I like how he's different though. I really hope he pans out for Buffalo. They haven't had a goalie to really praise about since Miller.

    • @leinadnagrom
      @leinadnagrom ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what he has early on is poise. his poise is up there with a seasoned professional. he doesn't let any pressure creep into his mind and creep into his game. rare to see that in someone so young

    Saying he's the best goalie in the system isn't that weird. They have luukonen, who can't track pucks and puts himself out of position. They have comrie, who is just not good, and Anderson who wants to retire. Levi is a weirdo goalie. Having a weird goalie is a good thing.

    Could be. it's a low bar. Don't ruin him like you ruined Ukko Pekka Luhkonnen. Get a real veteran starter and bring the two youngsters in as back-ups. Ease him into it.

      Ruin him like you ruined UPL…are you kidding me? UPL couldn’t even amass a save percentage above 900 in the AHL. He’s just not that good. How did Buffalo ruin him?

    • @biffstrong1079
      @biffstrong1079 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidschmidbauer3930 From Levi? You need someone to back him up anyway. Get a couple guys, not craig anderson and Comrie, who are stable average, healthiesh , NHL goalies. Put Levi in the mix and give him the opportunity to win the job but make sure it's not a disaster if he loses it. I'm guessing ina stable environment with two other average NHL goalies Levi wins the starting job and then Buffalo can go to a more standard two goalie system the next year. Sort of like Stuart Skinner has managed to win the job in Edmonton. This way if Levi takes a step back with the work load or from the pressure, the team with average goaltending can still make the playoffs. Levi's day will come but bringing them along too early and cracking their confidence can ruin or delay development of a young goalie and or too big a work load early on can injure and shorten the career of a young goalie. Try to avoid that with Levi.
