I think what you said is partly true. I think the other part was a fear of rejection. And I think that fear is what differentiated the women from the men. men are more used to rejection but women are not therefore the fear of being rejected is greater in them, which partly fueled their button pressing especially the first girl and the African American girl. At least that is my take on it.

False, this is so untrue and such a childish mindset if you go outside and look around average people are dating average people, I know married women who were not initially attracted to their partner when first meeting but now they are in love and find them attractive, the only time attraction first is true is when it comes to hookups and one night stands. If you go watch other episodes of the button there are plenty of instances where men press the button on the women because she is not attractive enough. Men need to be attracted to their partner initially since men are visual creatures and usually do most of the pursuing, women on the other hand get pursued they dont need to be initially attracted they can pick the best option for them which is usually a mix of redeeming qualities and attraction as well.

The people who see something wrong with what she said has clearly never been ROMANTICALLY involved with someone in the army. As a son from an Army Father/Military Family (which I haven't partaken in) It is definitely a valid opinion and critique as the behaviors shown from personal experience really make you think they aren't a good option

False, this is so untrue and such a childish mindset if you go outside and look around average people are dating average people, I know married women who were not initially attracted to their partner when first meeting but now they are in love and find them attractive, the only time attraction first is true is when it comes to hookups and one night stands.
If you go watch other episodes of the button there are plenty of instances where men press the button on the women because she is not attractive enough.
Men need to be attracted to their partner initially since men are visual creatures and usually do most of the pursuing, women on the other hand get pursued they dont need to be initially attracted they can pick the best option for them which is usually a mix of redeeming qualities and attraction as well.

The people who see something wrong with what she said has clearly never been ROMANTICALLY involved with someone in the army. They tend to carry that militant attitude/lifestyle home which can become a bit cutthroat and overbearing. It has nothing to do with hating the job itself, just the mindset it produces in vets over time. Same with police officers who develop PTSD. I remember an old boss of mine said he would wake up in the middle of the night and punch his wife when he had PTSD episode. You can’t blame someone that don’t want the responsibility of battling that hurdle to be with someone.
But that's generalizing not everyone in the army developes those traits
