I saw a lot of videos about food in Vietnam but with Helen, it is quiet unique. She knows about the ingredients and the cooking and why it is special. It’s not just “hummm it’s good”. Hope she can cover the major cities of Vietnam.
He is less enthusiastic here than he was in Penang, Malaysia. He may need to eat more Vietnamese food to appreciate how good it is. Good video and good luck to Helen and the Food Ranger.
I grew up in the united states being family friends with a vietnamese family. The food was awesome, and they were great. I miss the shrimp pancakes and spring rolls. Anyway you have a new subscriber. Cheers.
I like thid video because most of the videos about food in Vietnam feature pho hoa. Now this video it makes me want to go to Vietnam and the ice cream! I'm drooling!!
I was in Danang in 1964 and I was so surprised to see how much change the city has had! It looks so modern. Needless to say the food looked delicious in both your and Trevor's video!!! I have subscribed to your channel. Thanks for the tour, Clark
Awesome channel Helen. I find that a lot of the time, youtubers show street food but dont mention the exact address so its very challenging to locate. I really like how you mention the exact address in the description. Very informative and helpful!
Finally! Not only got some local advice, but it's HELEN! I have made a lot of her stuff, (made banh cuon yesterday, the whole business! It worked the first time). So, you have GOOD advice there, someone who can cook these things herself and explain it too. What a dream! I mean, wandering around the market in Vietnam looks more than ok, but how much better to get the word from someone who really knows what she is talking about.
Also, it could be mentioned that if I could find this food in FLorida US... it would cost ten or twelve times more and not be as good. NO outside market at all. That's why we need HELEN, to show us how to make it yourself.
I love to see the desserts...I noticed in my personal experience that a lot of Vietnamese food similar to Filipino food also. My father from Philippines, while my husband born in Vietnam and my mother in law want me to make make many Vietnamese dishes to make Tuong happy.
I like to go and trying the great looking food in Viet Nam. I was there in Ho Chi Minh City for almost three weeks! But I really didn't have a chance to travel and enjoy the Country. Maybe the next time I would have the times to do so. Thank you for shaing this Vedic with all of us
Thank you so much! Helen. Your video came just in time. We'll be visiting Danang in 2 week for the first time. All the food looks so delicious. For sure, we will stop by those places. Thanks again.
love your video with Trevor James! Does your sister summer still do food tours in Da Nang? All the food looks very good and inviting. Thanks for the share!!
I just back from Danang and I did follow what you eat in this video. But I only manage to eat the noodles soup with fish & sausages, avocado ice cream and banh mi. It is very delicious!! Really thumbs up! I will visit Danang again! Helen, do you have recipes of the noodles soup with fish & sausages (banh canh ruong)? The broth is superb!
I watched Trevor's version first before I saw you had one too. I enjoyed both, but I like your info on the foods much more! But you are the expert! thanks
Thanks Frank! I am a local, so I have more knowledge of the local foods. Trevor is cool! I'm impressed that he can really eat all the foods, even the challenging ones!
I hope to visit Saigon this year. I will start there and hope to venture north if I become confident on subsequent visits. I think I will be OK with trying the fermented items, but perhaps hesitant with durian and Phôi vịt as google translate calls balut.
Hello guys, great video, many thanks ,I like it to be in Da Nang. The food is excellent I was in 2018 very long time about 11 month I really enjoyed there. I am sailing alone around the world under the American flag. I will continue soon again. I wish you all the best in Vietnam !

It's 11pm here in Southern Cali and I'm craving for some Viet food :((( It's hard to find authentic Vietnamese food in the States.
Tri Dong
You must be joking right? Ever try those in Bolsward? Or San Jose?
Get out of here. Stop making stuff up. There are vietnamese restaurants everywhere in southern California.
Kit Kat yeah
OMG! You should have taken him to eat Bún Mắm bà Vân 😁. I was back in Danang a few weeks ago and I miss the food there already.
