At 6:34 you said it was designed (as well as the B version) by John Barnard and Rory Byrne, but actually Rory would only arrive at Ferrari in late 1997 after John left; so the first proper Rory Byrne chassis was the F300;)
A common sight that year was both Ferrari drivers' heads tilting heavily to one side while going down straights, because the massive head protection collar obstructed airflow around the engine intake.
Hi, i enjoy watching your diecast f1 reviews, please keep them coming. I also want to add to the beginning of the video, Minichamps manufactured Ferrari's f1 cars from 1993-1998. I also own the pre-season 1996 Ferrari driven by schumi in a test session (Car modelled after the 95 412t2 with 96 car livery). :)
In Germany we had a joke in 1996: 'What is the difference between Henry Maske and Ferrari? Henry Maske is going for full distance!' (Maske is a German retired famous boxer best known for decisions by points after 12 rounds). Without Schumacher, 1996 is likely 1992/1993 for Ferrari. But the team made a huge turnaround after the summer of '96 and performed much better.
They screwed up the interpretation of the cockpit side protection. Everybody else interpreted the rule differently and ended up with lower sleeker cockpit sides. When Ferrari showed up at the beginning of the season it was too late, the chassis was "baked-in" so to speak. so that's why you have the big pillowy sides of the cockpit. One wonders how much better if they had gotten this right and started off with a purpose built high-nose. otherwise, this was a second crack at the F92A concept, which though flawed, was much prettier with the oval inlets and sleeker nose section.
You know, F'man - after seeing quite a few of these Scale Model Review Videos, and then thinking that maybe I could do the same? I went to my local Model Shop, to ask if they had a Model of the Abarth 595 Well, after what seemed like half an hour of hysterical laughing, he just looked up at me (he was rolling on the floor with laughter ; ) - and then preceded to look me straight in the eye, and simply said "NO!!!" ;P
I have the late season model with the raised nose, i love how it looks

Cool to know!

One of the most underrated looking F1 cars in history. Sad no one talks about it though ☹️

41:08 and now I’ve got to stop. Because I’ve got a lump in my throat
I like the high nose version better.
This model here i have the same one anyways this design here basicly lead to the shape of the cars currently
Yes. In my mind, there were two cars that really solidified the design of what modern Formula 1 came to be - this, and the Williams FW17.
@@F-Man i agree and i seen them both on track for a classic gp in japan
I hate this car! 😡 Though I agree it was a step up from the year before but compared to the 97 car I think this sucks.
