This wasn’t even accurate Vladimir Morozov (40.28), and Nathan Adrian (40.23), have both split faster than Ress’ 40.35. But Dressel has the fastest split ever at the moment in 40.15.

Funny how his flat start time is faster than his relay split

Is it true your body moves through the water easier when you wash with Dr. Squatch soap?

Great race! But don't get me wrong, those guys are absolutely among the fastest swimmers in the world but calling it a world record is a bit of a stretch if yard pools exist literally nowhere else in the world don't you think? It's an amazing american record for sure and I'd love to see the same relay in the ISL or an olympic pool

I ha this argument. Same thing happens on dressel’s scy world records, check one on my Chanel’s comments. Simply put if it is the fastest anyone has swam that specific event, the 4x1 scy free relay, then it’s a world record

Also, most of these relays aren’t eligible for the American record. In my experience as an NCAA swimmer, only 1 or two in the A final are all American. Tons of foreign students come to compete

By that I mean on average. For this particular race I’m not sure

Thanks for posting the video. I recommend you add the year to your headlines. It would help anyone conducting a search. I'd also urge you to add the apostrophe to your repertoire of punctuation marks as they add clarity to writing.
This swim established a new US Open, NCAA, and American records. Those with a semantic or imperial measurement or nationalistic bias will not agree, but it is not a World record despite being the fastest ever. World records are recognized and sanctioned by FINA, the sport's international governing body, for long-course and short-course meters, which are the pools where the world comes together to compete.
