Joining Father Chris and our Marian family in prayers for all of our departed loved ones. As you were teaching us about the Holy Trinity, Father Chris, God’s, (F, S, HS) complete love for us and the purpose for which we are “consecrated” this morning I experienced something indescribable. It brought to my mind when you quoted Jesus on Divine Mercy Sunday, (in another context) “Do you realize what I just did for you?” I listen for those words in my heart every time I receive Holy Communion. How magnificent is our faith? Thank you for giving us so many tools, and reminders to be obedient, to know our Catholicism so we can love it and hopefully be good apostles of Divine Mercy . Love the truth of our faith you proclaim in your homily, Fr. Chris, I’m deeply grateful. “ We need the church.” This must be the greatest desire of one whose hunger and thirst wants to be satisfied. It’s only the Catholic Church who can fully give us the spiritual life we need: the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. Receiving Him is the most precious sacred gift we adore in the temple of our hearts. The divine joy we experience longing to be shared with others because it’s the presence of Jesus within us. This is indeed our mission as members of the mystical body of Jesus. “ The mission of Jesus is the mission of the church.”

Fr. Chris, I hope that you have a safe travel to and from St. Louis this weekend. I'm not too sure if you have heard but Canada is already into an early fire season especially in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta where some people had to be evacuated. There's also one fire burning withing the province of Manitoba but is more in the northern part of the province which is quite a ways away from where I live. What is really needed is prayers for lots of rain. What was being predicted by Environment Canada earlier this year is that this fire season could be worse then last year's because there wasn't a lot of snow during the winter months. I hope that your parents are both doing well. God bless you Fr. Chris now and always.
