As I'm listening to this about 6 in the evening we are having one such thunderstorm now 🌦️ lots of thunder and rain and the sun is shining ☀️ but that's about par for August in the Deep South 🎶👯☔
I am fascinated by your ability. For example how you are able to see the thunderstorm in your minds eye and then transfer it to the music you hear in your head from what you see and then let us hear it by transferring it to the keys on the piano. From the sounds you present I can see the lightening flashing and reflecting off the falling rain in the darkened sky. I can feel the excitement growing from the expectations of what is coming within that storm. Simply amazing stuff dear boy!
jarrid dasher Thank you! It's called "New Age" piano, but I like to call it Modern Classical. If you're new to it, you should check out David Lanz "Return to the Heart", "Cristifori's Dream", and his 9 minute Canon in D. Those are the ones that inspired me

Feng Lan I do. I just start to hear these melodies when I mess around on the piano, and so I work on them for weeks/months until they become a full song. I don't really have a lot of musical training so it's a lot of work, but it's all worth it in the end to hear people's feedback on them :)

Syts, I noticed a couple times when you hit some low rumbling chords, you pulled your left hand back away from the keyboard and down by your side for a fraction of a second. I don't know why, but that struck me as a very cool touch! Very fun to watch! Is there a reason that you do that? Lovely piece, as always, by the way!
Remember the Greek composer/pianist, Yanni?? He came along in the 1980s. He had 100+ piece orchestra to support his piano. You do it with just your piano and it's Better! Yes. It is modern classical/ New Age, but to me it's magical piano! You are awesome!
