I saw that interview, there is a lot of terrible Opie but that is not one of em'. Opie, Louis CK & Knoxville were good, Norton & Florentine brought nothing, dont care if they had their periods. Best Opie & Norton is Larry King who calls em on there shit with the Cumia firing.

The shenanigans they engaged in to fly under the FCC radar was hysterical. It was funnier NOT to be able to curse and have to work around it. The first time for me, was when O&A did a road rage tape. Ant described all the bad drivers and idiots. About that time, Ant came up with Yoshi(a Japanese name) for Chinese food bicycle delivery guys.
Yoshi made several "Appearances " after that. It made driving dangerous. 😎
The work around the FCC was one of the best parts of the show, especially when the fans called in with new words and terms for things. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
And they will ask Jim and he will say "I don't remember" like always lol
I'm happy Erock found a home.

I don't know how many years it's been since some one in their infinite wisdom decided to fire half of that show ( Jimmy was the other half) I still listen daily.
I love Erock, but I can't stop laughing everytime Erock starts talking. I think its the mic quality or how he looks.
Thank God Erock was there to assist, because not even Cumia can salvage a show with Chrissie on it.

Opie was funny when he hung up on people.... I can't think of anything else besides being a booger eater.
The thing is he wasn't though. He was like annoying unfunny child who when manages to actually do something funny, they cling to that for dear life and run it into the ground. Its why if you rewatch/relisten to old clips, look out for any time Opie makes a funny, which is rare. He will say the same shit over and over and over. It's why he clung to his stupid hanging up gimmick, ruining peoples possessions gimmick. He's just so unfunny that when he manages to make someone laugh, he's just as surprised.

I've been trying to figure out why Jimmy looks so different making those eyes at Opie. First any time I've seen him he's either wearing a band T-shirt or hoodie, here he has on a polo!
Also, for Jimmy to consciously keep from blinking means he's really focused on whatever he was annoyed at. That still really looks like an impersonator about to body snatch him.

Yeah, they did a great job painting the picture for the listening audience back in the day - the "theater of the mind." I think of the bottlerocket launching from that woman's "most intimate of areas" or Jay Mohr getting into a fight in studio, cursing so much that Van Halen song would pop on or what the couples were doing for "Sex for Sam" or the "box of cocks" bit. None of it needed video to be entertaining.
And even though there is video of Pat from Moonachie's "baby bird," it was more of a bonus. Had I never seen the video it would have in no way reduced that amazing crescendo
