The T008S cost around the same as a Suzuki Manji, Promaster or Bluemaster in the USA, also around the same as a Hohner Marine Band Classic or a Special 20. The only problem for this harmonica right now is price and that's obviously because it is competing against well-known companies, but sounds great to me actually. A lot of tone and body on the timbre.
I don't know about costs in US market. Import/Export taxes are becoming matters of politics more than economics, so I think it's influencing the final price. What I've told to my contact at EastTop is that if they can fix some minor glitch keeping the price competitive they'll have a good way to conqueer the harmonica market worldwide. Competition against big guys like Suzuki, Hohner and Seydel may be hard, but the EastTop are working their way into the international market in a really good way.
Would you say the t008s is good enough to be compared with a special 20, Suzuki bluesmaster or marine band classic? Of course the Marine has a wood comb but you get the idea.
Which one do you think is better between 008k and 008s? Because 008s is almost double in cost. I just want to know if it has that much of an upgrade to make it worth paying double than 008k.

Buy that! But I suggest you to try different models before buying a whole set
I bought 3 then bought a set of 12, I like how they play I’m interested to see how long they last
