I'm so happy you pointed out that wrong note played on fugue 9, that's exactly how i hear music! and in fact i rely on that type of hearing to help myself improve my own piano skills. its like if i trust my listening i can learn the piece correctly. it's remarkable how Bach music does this to me.
Book II is only like 30-40 mins longer, depends on the tempo of the performer. Don't know how many pages both have, but it's really not twice, more like 25% more.

Don't forget all the repeats! Something like 8 preludes in Book 2 have two sets of repeats. This adds maybe 20 more minutes.
