Stuff happens. I learned one thing, many years ago... If something breaks, it is only proof that you actually did something! And those red snouts WILL be the best comment generator you had since you revealed that you bought a Fendt combine. For the heck, throw a green snout on it too! That will stir up some feelings. Be safe out there and have a good one.❤
You know it's going to be a good day when you get your shaft polished in the morning
Trouble comes and goes. My granny always told me that if you're healthy and have food to eat ,everything else will work itself out. Keep the videos coming.
Harvest time is my favorite time of the year for Brian Farming Videos because of the almost daily uploads. Been watching since 2019 and Harvest is so much fun on this channel.
Love your videos, Brian. When changing them flange bearings, you rotate the bearing in the housing to remove it. There are slots in the housing to remove them. And when you are installing any bearings, you want to hit on the part that is being pressed in. That way, you won't damage the bearing internally. So when you guys were using that claw hammer😅 use something to put on the inner race of the bearing to tap it on. Keep up the good work gentlemen..
Great video of what farming is like. Be Safe that is the main thing. Safety first
"Love how you focus on eco-friendly farming solutions. This is the future we need!"
I’m glad I’m not the only one that breaks shit! Keep your head down and keep moving forward that’s all you can do👍
I feel your pain. We’re having a terrible season in the UK but as long as the sun rises tomorrow Bryan, we’ll keep going and get her done! You got this 👍
Thanks for sharing how things really go. I really enjoyed the school teachers questions! Switch all the snouts to high visibility red or yellow. Those dark colors in low light / dusty conditions really strain your eyes anyway.
I remember back in the 70's we had a lot of down corn. Rented a green all crop head. It worked fairly well. I don't believe there is even anything made like them anymore. Great video. It'll get better.
Drove thru Chillicothe yesterday and was hoping to pass by your farm. Never miss one of your videos. Hope this week goes better. Stay safe.
If you were on us35 you seen it
Not to worry. I sang your theme music to myself, so I missed nothing. Thanks for your hard work.
BJs turn with the combine. It all comes in threes.
Great Video Brian, theres one thing about a poor harvest, it can always get worse! thanks for sharing
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always, Brian!!!
You guys remind me of myself, if it can be broken I can break it lol 😂
Two thumbs up.
Mornin yall
Well Brian if your a terrible farmer we all are unbelievable levels of resilience needed to farm with the current run of weather we are all having. 63 inches of rain here in 12 months more than 3 times our average has been tough. Keep on keeping on.
Those red snouts are a reminder to not bury the head. It's still gonna happen. Thanks, Brian
I been farming all my life when nothing breaks i thank God an hope i can another one the next day
The woes of a farmer and the prices are through the roof for sure.
Intro or not, your video content is worth more than any complaints!
Just remember this Season as a lesson, Even the most experienced can make the worst of mistakes! I hope the best for the rest of your harvest!!
Ps you can use Ric Flairs theme song royalty free for your intro, you just can’t have the “WOO” in it lol
Great video . Thank you so much
Torque spec for bearing is 4 ugadugas with impact
Good video,, things happen 👍👍👍

I have a feeling that corn head will be hanging unto that unique appearance for a little while ....
6:53 when you and your work buddy convince your boss everything is a two man job 😂
LOL we all have/had those days. This time next year youll shake your head and chuckle. As for the "test" strip from setting up the combine...at least its not by the roa....oh nevermind lol.
Hearing more & more about short stature corn, not something we’d try for silage but for guys growing corn it sounds like it’s worth looking into especially if you have lodging issues.
That's farming. Can't believe the price of those snouts. Hoping for a better day tomorrow as I am sure you are too. Thanks for the real-life video. Surprised me to learn that farmers swear sometimes. Who woulda thought?
It’s smart you guys lease… ram it… jam it… or slam it.
Bob the squirrel at his age awsome
Another thing we used to adjust shoots up so when on the ground, they would run nearly level, point would float over, not dig in....
Down corn tip: get a tiger torch, flame the plastic snouts…..meaning put heat to the surface just enough to make it shine. That makes it slick. THEN, armor all them good. Those two things will help the stalks slide.
Brian. There is always labor. Just which accounting bucket is coming from.
If the snouts are not row specific. Place adjacent to the folding or the reels. Make it seem to have a purpose.
That's what you guys get for blaming the grain cart driver.
💯 his fault

There I am, watching along and my mind started to wonder about the yield on that down corn ...
And just like that, rapido presto, Brian started to update us on the yield of that field ...
Stuff happens !😊
Good video
I’ve had many days like this. I swear I’d have been more productive if I had went home and went back to bed and got up the next day and started over.
Demolition derby combine. Damn. At least you didn’t hit a bridge.
Good morning
Morning
Hopefully this cold front will keep the rain away for a week or 2 so we can get something done
A little early for Christmas decorations Brain. Your combine looks like rudolph guiding Bobs sleigh. BJs fault. Be safe👍👍
@ChetLarson, you got company!
Yes them ear savers slow down the stalks on down corn, we took them off ours like 3rd year and never put back on
Its the gray combine, bad luck. Should have went with the big yellow one
I feel your pain! Been there🤪
Dealing with down corn is miserable to say the least. Unfortunately it can also be a major safety hazard dealing with plugging issues. Hope things go along better...bummer to have breakdowns on new machinery, but it is what it is.
Well for those people who are saying your dad should retire just need to mind their own business your dad doesn't great job very knowledgeable and so do you accidents happen that's just part of life it's unfortunate but it is part of life
Mornin
Brian, don't be so hard on yourself, be more positive. Negative video doesn't make better.
Get kids out there too see who can find the most cobs laying in field, good way to earn allowance
Hum, ya know that don’t make Bob feel any better, but he certainly understands. I guess the answer is, Just Fix the SOB.
Don’t be mad at yourself because shit happens!! That’s why them snout are bolted on so you can replace them. ( just blame it on your brother ) if he was a good cart guy he would have told you about the rise in the field. Lmao 🤣
Is your Gleaner trade in still on the market? Go buy it back, acquire an 8 row Massey red corn non folding head , Keep on moving, slow and steady , the Gleaner will shell that 8 rows of dry corn just fine.
If you don't break anything, odds are your not doing anything!!! Years ago when farmers cultivated, helped a lot with down corn, dirt thrown up to the corn left a " ditch" between rows, snoots rode in the ditch
Boom attachment for your jbc
Hi Brian. Can you harvest down corn with a bean header?
You should use anti-seize on your shafts after you sanded them. Makes it easier for the next fool to change it out.
I would just put one red snout toward the outside on each side!
Oh Man , shine it up and never seize the shaft
lol we have had red snouts on our green head before…..lol do what you gotta do….
don't sweat it. this will probably buff out. LOL
Why not weld in a bar a bit lower and then cut the top one and make it a removable bar so it makes it easier to remove and install the auger pipe.
👍
Too bad you don’t have two combines!😂😂😂😂😂
Can you put extensions on the corn reel if you didn't fold the corn head? Take them off then in standing corn.
With it being down like that, could you not use the wheat / bean head ? Be slow but surly less chance of damage and less losses ? Maybe ?
Custom snouts now custom paint
We are going to rip deep the tree root problem…see if I can stop the wheeler…..lol
Is your feeder house pointing too down for the corn head? One might happen but 2 that doesn’t look good. They should be able to follow the ground a bit
B J s. Turn to break something
hate to run all that trash threw the combine but hell throw the grain table on and get all the corn seen it done before for real
Should be able to the red shoots better then the other color
300 bushels of corn to pay for snouts. That's like over 50k ears u gotta capture if it's 200bu
the plus side of you dinging the harvester ................... it takes the pressure off your dad !!
I don't and have never shelled corn, is it possible to use the bean head to cut the down corn?
Aint ya guys got an excavator that would have made it a little easier for auger reinstall
Figured a new combine and corn head would have auto height adjustment ?
It does
Don't ya just love it, get to set and rub it in, brand new unit looks like crap. Hibilly farmer.. can see what your going run faster
What about using a floating head
It's a corn header fashion statement.......
🤬🤬🤬🤬 Happens!!!!!
Should have lashed a 10’ 2x10 to the forks… Then you have a crane.
😂😂😂😂 you get penalized for your intro music but not for polishing your shaft😮😮😮😮
Hast makes Wast, did we learn HAST MAKES WAST.....
You need may wes snout savers
You guys are g4eat mechanics
I’m starting to think that combine is cursed
You do know, that the broken snouts are b.j.s fault😊 ive seen guys use a wheat head in down corn.
Is Kayla still teaching?
If you haven't wrinkled up a machine in one way or another, are you really farming? We've all done it.
On hits hi.
One hits low
BJ?
So, Kayla just saves you, ahh?
Haaaa ahwell shouldn't stuck to 2 machines. Bigger not necessary better.
So Bob broke the grain hopper, Brian broke the snouts ... what's BJ going to break next !! Just shows that it comes around to us all, so no point beating down of someone else for breaking stuff.
Does the combine now identify as a Case (non-binary)?
Bj just breaks hearts! 😂
Or belts after football season 😮
BJ screwed up again
Down corn is lots of work on top of what it took to raise it - hope there's not too much like that. I hate copyright trolls, which is probably what the intro music issue will turn out to be. Unfortunately you're the one that has to battle the trolls.
now it's just that BJ
that hasn't broken anything???
He has you just haven’t seen it
