- A complete playthrough for the "Sneaky Gamer" minigame in WarioWare Gold for the Nintendo 3DS. In this mode, you have to secretly play games as 9-Volt, without being caught by his mom.
A stage based off this minigame has appeared in Smash Bros. Wii U, and will appear in Smash Ultimate later this year.

@@jeremyaster7470 i mean, that might be how 9-volt's imagination represents it. he doesn't really know where his mom is, but he can imagine her in his room just by listening to her footsteps. maybe he's too paranoid so when the window opens or electronics make sounds he imagines her in there.

That 3rd tier difficulty was certainly freaky. The idea of the mother just randomly sitting in your own room monitoring you if you're sleeping and then sitting in front of the tv for that moment in time. The chills are real.

Never played this before but this I absolutely love this. If this isn't creative genius then I don't know what is.
5-Volt has horror game energy. She can be fast at will. Sometimes she goes back and forth, and stalls the player. Using multiple ways to access the room, via the door, window, or TV. You have to depend on either visual or audio cues to know when she is coming. Stress-inducing visuals and sounds like the hanging upside down, pacing back and forth with glowing eyes, etc. Also, you get jump scared, not loud though, like most horror games.

Marketing wise, the Wii U was a commercial failure, but it still had some decent games on it and the Wii U pad gimmick wasn’t all that bad, unlike the VB where the gimmick could actually damage your eyes.

Of course, they could smash the window, run quickly to the window, open the door slowly, or walk around the room, watch tv and watch the peeson as 9-volt 'sleep'.
It'd probably take a lot of effort but it'd be incredible.
Plus, since they're playing the game, they'll have to beat microgames and watch for 5volt alongside the real world.

Now I know where the Gamer stage in Smash come from. This is definitely the most ironic game I've ever seen. We've ALL been this scenario in real life. But this mostly applies to younger gamers, as I grew up with the Game Boy. Nevertheless, it's still remarkably similar to my occasional childhood experience. Level 3 sure doesn't mess around.
