Never will forget 2000/2001 when finding all the underground bands like this that changed everything for the soundtrack to my high school experience. This song is still great.
Dude I have the exact same experience, found this on a VHS that came with NME or Mtv magazine , played this song a million times ❤ became one of my all time fav bands, new stuff is great too
If I was put in a guantanamo bay type situation where they tortured me by playing one song on repeat, this is the one song I would just keep happily sing along to without going insane.
This Song when it came out introduced me to the Trio and I fell in love from there... The rest is history... It's 15 years on if not more and the feelings are still immense as the first time... Oh how Time flies and I am feeling so very nostalgic...
Same here! My punk friend kept trying to get me into indie music. One day I was at his house and this song was playing on his computer. I was like, what the hell is this?? He was all, dude, I've been trying to get you to check these guys out forever. Turned out he had been trying to introduce me to my favorite band for months. Awesome dude. Love you Emis.
Underrated how? It's consistently in their top 5 most played on Spotify and is generally considered by both fans of the band and the wider rock community to be a great track.

I remember getting bullied for wearing an alkaline trio shirt to middle school all the time. It was my favorite shirt. It spelled alkaline trio out on gravestones. I never cared though because everyone liked this song eventually. Such an awesome band and song.
Always considered their songs to be PERFECT! growing up as a classic rock fan they were gold to my ears and I can never fall out of liking a band. To this day they still rocked at writing Rock in my opinion.
I can’t believe I didn’t think Private eye had an official music video lol I love this song as well and I can’t believe Atom Willard was in alkaline trio until 2001 lol then from 2005-2011 he was in angels&airwaves he’s worked with both Matt skiba and Tom DeLonge lol
this was the first alkaline video i saw n I was sold.. 10 years later i got their logo inked.. no regrets! I just dont listen to anything post-crimson.. Goddamnit! for life!

@drvonfrie I think they don't need any improvement, but yes, Damnesia showed how excellent and talented they are, yet another brilliant album by a brilliant band.
VH1 music video,...F-ing awesome! Is no one else seeing THIS?????? a fucking VH1 logo in the corner of this video. VH1 was like, Kenny G, Whitney Houston, Go West, and Paula Abdul, videos on repeat. You did the lords work. i raise my container of alcholic fluid to you.
lyrically theyre geniuses, instrumental they could improve but theyre a punk band cant expect too much lol however when they create a song its everything it needs. Damnesia did, however, show some excellent improvement in the years
@Andrewjohncook1985 they made it several times to the mtv and "modern rock top" around 2003 - 2004 and "Promo Only" charts which were used by many radiostations and were reference of the top charts by many other charts in the world, so basicaly yeah they were mainstream

@drvonfrie why improve perfection? and i don't mean they're "perfect". i mean their sound and their instrumentals fit their style perfectly.
@drvonfrie when you say "instrumental" I'm guessing you're not including Dan? I'm sorry, but he is one of the best bass players I have ever seen.
