Eagle Flies choice was stupid of thinking to fight the army I understand he wants freedom but did he not think what he’s going up against? He was going up against the U.S army that has way more utility and have cannons.Eagle Flies should’ve listen to Rainfalls he knew that the native Americans would never win this war because the U.S army has more people and it’s sad that this war costs him his sons life and they had to move because of Eagle Flies that started this war and not to mention this was dutches plan all along he knew that the army and the native Americans were against each other some soldiers wanted this war to stop and let everyone have peace so did rainfalls he believed that war isn’t the answer but peace is he never wanted war he just wanted to be free and his people he just wanted to be friends with the army and to have no more wars.I love this game a lot it’s fun and has a great storyline to it.
Yea Wapiti (sorry if it is not spelt right) seemed to have no more than 20~ males that were 18-35 and back then women didn’t really fight in battles (as far as know, but it could very well not be the case for different cultures). On one side there 20~ native Americans who are mostly armed with bows with perhaps 5 Springfield rifles and then 10 criminals who are trying to make Rains Fall’s tribe fight a losing battle. On the other side is the American Army who are equipped with the newest and best weaponary that is able to be deployed in huge numbers. For example nearly all of them have high quality repeaters except for a few of them who have bolt-action rifles (these people could very well be sharp-shooters), they have many Maxim guns (the machine guns on the tripods. The ones on wheels are Gatling guns, though the maxim gun is sometimes referred to as a Gatling gun in the main story), army trains, and cannons. Not mention as soon as you kill a soldier more can be deployed from nearby forts. I think the Native American and Van Der Linde gang attacks were no more that gestures of unhappiness and could have never truly crippled the Army. If you have read all of this you are amazing!
My absolutely favorite track and favorite mission besides American venom. As soon as the mission starts in my head I was like, I have a feeling this is going to turn into one of the biggest shootouts of the entire game. And I was absolutely right. Every time Arthur has the choice to be a “good man” he does so, he will not let a man like captain Monroe be hanged for being a good helpful caring man. After the tb diagnosis he goes so far out his way to help others even if it will mean his own death. Instead of saying I’m going to die anyways and continue to live how he has, he says I’m going to die no matter what so why not right some wrongs and be the “good man” everyone tells me that I am. Taking on the literal army to protect one innocent man after saying to Dutch taking on the army is unwise, shows what kind of man he really became in the end
I mean it’s really more about corporate greed and government collusion than “army bad”. Every decision made by the division commander is in relation to Cornwalls desire to industrialize the land the natives were living on- It’s why the final showdown is on the oil field and not the fort or some other military post. The Colonel literally was going to imprison an officer without a trial or due process so that no one would stand in his way to tear up the treaty and launch an assault on the Wapiti encampment. There are plenty of notes and small story elements to indicate favors was pushing outside of general orders within his division to provoke the Wapiti and protect civilian assets. There’s definitely some criticisms to be made about the military through characters like Bill or Pearson, but the Wapiti arc is entirely a story about industrialization and government bureaucracy.
