First off, I am SO glad you're okay after that accident! That's the most important thing. I live in a community with a huge Ukrainian population and they're always making sauerkraut (you see the big, old wooden cabbage slicers and crocks everywhere), but I'd never known how. I'm going to try it this week - although mine may not turn out since I have RED towels, not blue, and I think my elastic is green! Your videos are always a joy, Kevin. Thank you so much for sharing with us all.

Wanted to do this for so long! I‘m such a lazy bum. I’ll probably watch you without getting in gear.

    Yippee
    Oh wow, Kevin
I bought a blue towel last week when I finally found a blue casserole dish to be able to make the oatmeal blueberry bars! Tomorrow morning i will go to the Farmer's wife to get a cabbage. Wow, too cool for school...

Thank you for the video and super easy sauerkraut recipe! I love cabbage in different variations. I also love kimchee and would love to make that recipe too. I will give this recipe a try to see how it goes. Hopefully, it will be nice like your sauerkraut is. Thank you again and take care! 🙏💖☺

Thanks so much for all these lovely cabbage recipes and videos you've posted on TH-cam. I also make sauerkraut and many other fermented veggies. Sitting on my counter right now is a blend of cabbage and store-bought broccoli slaw. I mixed both together and at Day 5, it's tasting quite nice. I'll have to make more sauerkraut soon. These are great probiotic foods and such fun to play with.
Having seen it featured for a while now in your videos, I am still crazy about your updated kitchen. It's lovely.

I’ve wanted to make saurkraut for a long time--but all the info involved big crocks--and that is too cumbersome. So seeing your video has re kindled my desire. I may do this. Healthy, low cab, and fun! thanks again. Maria

    Love your videos.
OK, some questions ... why do you take the time and effort to get all that liquid out of the cabbage just to add it back when everything is in the jar? What do people do if they want wine sauerkraut?
