His STRENGTH is that he comes off the BENCH. He needs to figure this out and not take the bait of "come be a starter". Then he'd get constant usage and double-teams.
I love the way my Pacers are constructed. They are such a deep and unselfish team. You never know which guy off the bench is going to step up and cause problems. I loved that McConnell and Toppin stepped up, sweet revenge for Toppin getting tossed to the end of the bench even after he played well when Randle was out. He plays behind Siakam, but he's not buried to occasional garbage minutes. He is a respected contributor, as are all players in the deep rotation. I am still not satisfied with their consistency on defense outside of a few key players like Nesmith, who comes to play just about every game. But they have been stepping up lately despite some notable lapses.
6 man of the year quality player. He used to irritate me so much when he was a 76er. This squad has been amazing and yeah he is why our bench is the best in the league. That stat seems to go over the heads of haters.😂
TJ such a prime example of how quickness and craftyness can overcome height in the paint. Even his vert isn't elite, only around 30 inches, but he jumps so quick it works.
So, remembering Steve Nash well at Dallas, this looks like him, except that Nash used the 3 Ptrs and hit them, consistently. I think Carlisle is using him well.
TJ is the Killerbocker. The Pacers are loaded with misfits but together they make the perfect fit. TJ is a bench warmer and has been pretty much his entire career yet he's considered one of the best PGs in the NBA today and Indiana has by far the best bench in the league which is one of the main reasons why they are playing in the ECF. I know everyone thinks Boston is going to roll over them but everyone thought the NY Knicks were going to roll over them as well but instead Indiana hobbled them with their high speed offense and if they remain healthy I really think they have a legitimate chance at once again playing the spoiler. Go Pacers
C'mon, there isn't a soul alive outside of Indiana who thinks that if the Knicks weren't decimated by injury that they wouldn't have beaten the 76ers and Pacers within 5 games.
Credit to the Pacers for sure for getting the job done, but there should be no illusion about who the superior team is... the Knicks bench took them to game 7, and were one lucky shot in game 5 from being down 3-1. Shit happens, but to not acknowledge their good fortune is silly.

Pacers were lacking in playoff experience outside of Paskal and Turner etc, so they've learned alot on the fly what is required thanks to bucks & NY. Boston is Boston, knicks not even healthy enough. Pacers are the bigger threat.
Availability is a part of the game. Some players get injured more often and that has to be considered along with talent. On paper with all of its starters it looks like New York would be a heavy favorite. But until they can show it in the playoffs it's an unknown. So have a good day until next year...
