awesome, so timely with the steamboat willie copyright expiring 🔥 love the way willie's whistling gets chopped up and remixed, mega fly melodies there 👏 so many cool supporting layers added too, what a jam this turned out to be!
OH dude! I thought the chirpy instrument near the end would cause frequency masking issues with the whistle, but the final product came out great! Well done!
This slaps more than I thought it ever would. But if you didn’t show your process, you probably could released it earlier under the radar as it sounds more like a reimagining of the theme.
"lets chop Mickey up" i knew what you meant but that tickled me funny for sure. And yes that is a little macabre. But just right ;) Beautiful cut though.
watch listen and read the video caption the caption is so good ! totally!! be aware: the catchy tune will stick ! Funny fact: The patent of this Mickey Mouse version expired just a few hours ago
Haha! Sweet! I just got mine last Thursday and have been having fun. I had the Casablanca soundtrack (yeah, I used to be obsessed with soundtracks) on my phone and it has music and all the best bits of dialog. So my first track I've ever made was similar to your steamboat willie remix. I was fortunate to get one out of the latest batch with the fader protected and had no issues. KOii is perfect if you are new to samplers like me. Easy to get started with yet lots of room to learn more advanced techniques!
As an ode to your fancy pinky when you play, how about a sample from The Birdcage where Robin Williams tells Nathan Lane to "...get the godd@mn pinky down!" It'd be so epic
OK OK OK, now this is the moment of perfection in my opinion, from the first day I saw your content this feels like the culmination. For one, I can’t wait for this to hit Spotify so I can listen to it while I drive, but on a very serious note I think this is a legitimate track used in collaboration with some rap. Idk if that’s at all where you’d want to go with your music but in my head that’s immediately what came to mind, I could hear another artist putting some old school lyrics playing to the beat. ALSO!!!!: whatever direction you go with it, I know I personally would really LOVE if you actually put the “jamming” part in towards the end of the song, hearing the track in that styling reminded me of “in different tastes” and the last few versions before the full song start we’re especially cool!
This mix is very cool, it needs to be done very well. I'm also looking for a synthesizer for Afro house, Latin and house music, do you have any recommendations?
Excuse the absolutely noob question but how did he get the bass sound from the external keyboard to the KO 133 whilst it was recording? I heard there's an inbuilt mic but surely wouldn't have picked up with everything else playing?
Great stuff! Videos on your process of mastering KOII jams? Are you moving them over to Logic for final touchups, and if so, how do you multi-track out?
Any tips for quantized beats. I find often times what I play doesn’t sound the same on the grid. Would adjusting the notes help. I create in 1/16th most of the time.
Overly aggressive? You either defend your copyright or you don't. If you don't you risk losing it completely so obviously any copyright holder, unless they no longer want to hold said copyright, will enforce it.
@@AndyAlertyou are a complete buffoon if you don't think Disney and other million dollar corporation lobbying to push what used to be like 14 years to 100 isn't overly aggressive especially coming from a company that literally built it's empire on public domain material!
@@AndyAlertthe case law and the laws written make it that way. That doesn't mean it's the best or even a good solution. 100 years long copyright is WILDLY TOO LONG as well.
Exactly, if only Disney was a little less strict with this stuff, because as of now most artists would still not risk monetising anything Mickey related because of how specific (and muddy) Steamboat Willie Mickey's definition is, if that could be resolved, believe you me wild stuff could be made
@@AndyAlertThere is a huge difference between protecting Disney from other corporations when compared to a single guy who made something for shits and giggles
How are you linking the nanokeyStudio to the KO.II, since it doesn't seem to have bluetooth? Are you doing the BT connection to some other device then using USBMidi back to the KO.II?
Legally, yes. I would think this track is fair use. But Disney had final say in any copyright disputes on TH-cam unless you can threaten Google with a lawyer.

WOW!!!!!!!!! DUDE that was sick! It's absolutely amazing how creative people can be when given the tools!!! New sub!
Waited 100 years so you can do this when copyright expires
You waited 100 years? 😅
96 years.

I love the vibe! Thanks for this masterpiece!

Just got my KO-II and man is this thing sooooo much fun. Great mash up btw!

Classic sample selection, great beat. You inspire my music creativity with this new found fact.
This is so good, lol. I don't know how I haven't seen this yet. Nice one!!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
Spending a week in Vegas, bringing my ko II for a deep dive as my own music device while I'm out there. Love watching these videos

FUN is the key word here. TE did a good job on that part. I'm still a sampling baby, so lot's of fun techniques to learn!
Your videos always put a smile on my face (and my ears jajaja) amazing work as always!
jajaja
This is sooo good! ❤
get that royalty free bag my boi!

Surprisingly inspiring ❤subscribed . Thanks, music & life should be fun 🤩
You're incredible! Love it!
Very cool great job.
Me, I know who I am, I’m a mouse, playing a mouse, disguised as another mouse.
remix of the year
Nice vibe 🔥
Good stuff as always.
There's a couple videos on TH-cam now about Steamboat Willie and they're getting demonetized for copyright issues. Has this video yet?
It's STILL demonetized - I've put in a dispute but it's still under review
0:13 sounds like the horizontal and vertical selection sounds from Earthbound.
Love it!
This mix is very cool, it needs to be done very well.

That sounded dope af, though ngl, if i had heard this without watching you make this, I'd wonder what this has to do with Steamboat Willie
Amazing! I just got mine and woah, it's a lot to take in.
Hey just curious what is it that's taking lots of time to learn on it?
It's more like setting enough time aside to really learn it.@@SuperSayan4Trunks
This one slaps!! 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing track! Now I'm falling into your rabbit hole. Oh nooo! 😲
It goes deep lol
Wow!
Haha cool idea
FREEDOM!!!
_It isn't macabre if it's royalty free._ - Public Domain peeps
This is awesome! I too bought mine on a whim and have 0 regrets! How are you recording the final song?
I export the individual tracks via audio through my interface to Logic and finish it up there
Gotta send this to John Oliver so they can create a dirty trap video to this
Absolute goat
Might be a silly comment but how did you get your keyboard to wirelessly control midi on your KO??

May i suggest something with the movie "Road to el Dorado" i think theres something there
Once again showing that overly aggressive copyright enforcement really hinders some amazing creativity

I don't get it. By the end the Steamboat Willie tune is gone.
Cool track just the same.
Great job.
thanks! i just set a challenge to myself to see what ideas would come out of chopping it up and remixing it - this melody was the fun little result.
A nom Sunday release!
I couldnt wait :D
Lol sounds awsome 👍👍👍👍👍
Curious if YT's Content ID was updated or if this got flagged still?
How did ypu get the sample to the K.O? it was by your phone? (Sorry for the bad english im latino)
How did you sample the steam boat willy song into the ep-133?
Sicc 🤩
Appropriate composition for MM’s Steamboat Willie …
Free willy❤❤❤❤
How did you synce this up ?
This should count as fair use in a just world...

also interested to see how was connected the korg nanoKey.
Never mind, I just found your other video explaining it all :)
My question too

It the hip hop rodent

not a fan of the thack noise in it gives me a headace the rest is good, think you needed to remove more then the metranome, also needs a good master.
Not my favorite track but cool video anyway ❤
Mickey Mouse ahh beat
