My son bought this home for one of his properties. After he purchased it, My ex wife, my sons mother came to call for a visit from her abode in Naples Italy. She had an absolute tizzy when she walked into the front door foyer. Why are you having one of your tantrums my son hesitantly asked, don't you love my new investment, and she replied, " Antonio " !! My dear boy !. What is it , Tony replied ? His mother, Gabrielle, a beautiful , yet aged and heavily painted full oversized lips in a deep heavy red purple shade of color threw her hands out over her head and yelled !!!! "These fucking stairs are hideous " !!! They are too narrow and have to be ripped out of this place before I ever set eyes on this home again !!!!! She turned around and immediately walked her way out the front door with her assistant / butler following behind her. Ridiculous but true! Two days went by and I get a call from Gabrielle. She yelled !!!! How could you let our son buy that horrible little abode with an entrance foyer staircase that looks like it leads to hell ? After calming her down , for I was in an important meeting in London, I said....... Look Gabrielle, I know you mean well, but you were so rude to Tony with you just leaving and walking away , leaving him very worried, for you know how hard he works at trying to be a good son to you , for he loves you very much and wants you to be proud of his accomplishments, for yes , the boy is young, only nineteen years old, hes going to make mistakes. What do you want me to do Gabrielle. She says, I want you to pay for as new front door entrance and a new staircase thats really grand for Tony's home. I said alright, hire an architect and send me a bill. A few months have gone by and I get a bill for remodeling the staircase and a few other areas. Now im bitching to get it off my chest for the cost of the new stairway, yet it is very beautiful, but none the same. The cost .....Seven million, five hundred and thirty nine thousand , two hundred and fifty three dollars and sixty two cents. I asked the construction people to please take my ex wife and drop her in cement and make a statue for the fountain along the drive. And they did! Gabrielle is no more than a mere cement covered statue, with water green red huge lips that makes no sound except for the sound of trickling beautiful H20. The statue was included in that price.
