What a beautiful tradition. I was looking to have a greater understanding of Islam and have found much validation of my own knowing of what can only be true here in this short film. Thank you for sharing it.
I feel ancient Islam up until 1700s was a Sufi stoic pragmatic action oriented movement all around the world. You’ll see Spanish Islamic moorish architecture in Los Angeles!! Pre 1900 construction. They were here (Khalifa-for us... Khalifa means elected community leader). Islam was to act in beauty as you are praising God through righteous actions.. creating things for people to feel closer to God. Followers of Islam were the first mystics. Wish we knew more about them! A lot of their history has been erased. Remember a lot of Greek history and philosophy is translation to English from Arabic... they studied the Greeks prior to the West.
I would love to see it. I don’t think it would be a problem unless the Hartley Foundation asked to have it removed for copyright issues, especially if the video is no longer available for purchase.

In islam, God is One, Unique and is totally transcendent and NOT mixed with creations. If the Creator is within His creations then it will be the foundation of polytheism. The Hindus believed in the Absolute Being (God) but it is manifested in the form of gods and goddesses... In islam we say : Allah is the Most High above & separate from the Creation.... Most of those who claims sufism had fallen into heresy & blasphemy. Most of them made up their own rituals that they claimed to be their path way to God and they left behind what was instructed to them in the Scripture(Qur'an), the commandments & obligations and they claim that they could reach God in a different and more sublime path other than that was given to all Muslims in general
