16 is my favorite song on the album. It captures a beautiful conclusion to the album, where basically Keem tells us about all of these lowly relationships hes been in, and even though it's fun and wild, he cant find true love at clubs and with strippers. So 16 to me, although idk if it is the actual meaning, defines a Keem where he realizes that true love is found only when you take a hard look at what you're manifesting, at the current moment. I believe "16" is Keems way of saying "I'm looking forward to better things, now", after his album tells of all of the shallow relationships hes been in.
It has incredible audio design, mixing and mastering. It sounds a lot to me like Drake's "Time Flies", where he uses much of the same atmospheric synthesizers, and a smooth bass. The mixing sounds great where his vocals is very clear, there doesnt seem to be any distortion or over compression.
I find that I really like the way he actually uses tones in a very cyclic way, where the lower tones always match on the "and" of every 3rd and 4th count. I think doing this is really awesome and important as an artist. Sometimes complex artists can get really get carried away with technique or methodology. It's the usage of Simplicity that usually outweighs Complexity, at least in music more often than it is not. It allows the fanbase to sing along easily or create their own melody. It makes music fun too.
