The tour of Colorado’s football facilities demonstrates the huge resource and financial gaps when compared to HBCU’s. Even though Colorado is in a Power 5 conference, they haven’t had a winning season in years, and JSU’s football facilities are not even close to being on the same level. Can you imagine what USC’s facilities look like? Deion had to get Walmart to fund the new practice facility. I hate to see Deion leave JSU also but it’s been reported that the school did not step up the the plate with salary increases for his coaches or other incentives to keep him from leaving.

Agree, I wish the best for him and his family. He's right that coaches either go to another job or get fired. But as a good leader, many of his JSU personnel will follow. He told the current team to look into the transfer portal. He's not going to play around with them just like some JSU players when he arrived. The video of the Buffalo players showed that he means business with them. Love his JSU staff and the excitement he brings to the players. Not many coaches do that today. This is the level what HBCU's need to aspire to in order to compete for top recruits & the Power 5 schools. Ppl saying JSU needs to play Alabama, Auburn, etc...they ALL have facilities like this. Its all about the money and resources. Colorado has a football team that has been awful for years & did you see the last shot of the Head Coach's Suite??? Are you kidding??? How can schools like JSU hope to compete w/the Power 5 unless they emphasize the culture. But the top talent will still opt to go to the Power 5 school & who can blame them?

Shilo was the most invested in HBCU culture. JSU was home for him. He made those connections with the band because of his love for music. I hope he can continue there and not receive backlash from the student population for his father's decision.
