You nailed it! What people do not know is that God visits people differently or delivers people differently. So you cannot prescribe any particular solution to get deliverance . The solution and directions must come from holy spirit depending on his leading . I am saying this because I struggled with porn and masturbations for over 22 years. Up to now the discussion on the comments shows that you are either a follower of Dr. Damina or Apostle Arome. The same mistake. Instead of all that you guys are using to defend your favorite preacher, why can't you genuinely follow Jesus Christ? What if whoever you prefer is very wrong, what if all of them are wrong. They are human beings. You follow them blindly and you inherit all their good and all their mistakes. Let us follow Christ. Why argue how someone has interpreted the scriptures? In my case, I became angry and restless in my Spirit, abstained from the act cried out to God for help in prayer and fasting, and allowed God's word to take root in my heart. Some might escape as in the case of that chap but you can't say continue and stay focused on God's word. Some are hooked to this addiction for 5, 10, 20, 30, .. even a life time. Don't pamper sin, God warned us in the old testament using a metaphor in numbers 33:55-56.
Jesus himself tell us to cut off any part of our body that causes us to sin, that tells us how radical we need to be when dealing with sin.
You have to be radical by exercising your will before God's word can work, you can't continue watching porn and going to church or reading the Bible and expect to be free feom the addiction, it's like washing a dress and dirtying it but expect it to be clean somehow, it's not going to happen.
Be radical, but off every link you have with porn; delete every porn related content from your phone, stop watching movies or any content that triggers the desire for sex. By doing this you exercise your will and tell God you are ready and willing to be free, that's when His power will come qnd help you break free.
