The swords dont have the power
Its from the breathing also there are 14 breathing styles some people dont have breathing styles to be a demon slayer u need to pass the exam wich is like the exam naruto took to become a chunin survive in the forest for 3 days now that forest is sorounded by wisteria and is a place where demon slayers capture demons and put them there to see if the people survive if they do they get their own crow and in a few days they will get their nichirin swords also u dont need a nichirin sword to use breathing styles and each color represents the breathing styles of the user that uses but if it doesn't change color thats because u dont have a breathing style and tanjiro has a black sword for sun breathing the original breathing he got water breathing cuz urokudaki taught him but not suited for him
