This is the song that saved his career. Because before he released this song his first album, Life through a lens, only sold 30 thousand copies and his record company wanted to drop him. Then on the first of December 1997 he released this song and sales of his album soared. His former Take That band mate Gary Barlow's career collapsed a couple of years aftet leaving take that after having two number one singles. Then his further songs failed to chart. And he was forced to abandon his music career until Take That reformed at the end of 2005.
