What's so cool and amazing about gen 0 is that everyone has their own amazing story, like Sora is carrying the hololive on its early days Miko being one of the 13 knights of the round table, Suisei and Azki accomplishing their Idol dreams after alot of harships and Roboco is also carrying the agency on its early days, I can't help but to be touched on how amazing their story is and how these wonderful people gather up in one place and made history on their own.

This is the most common misunderstanding with Gen 0. It is not the zero before 1, but zero that is 'none'. It's a group of members without a group.

According to Holo Talk, Miko was scouted when only Sora was in Hololive. That would explain why her channel was created a long time before she actually debuted. Though we'll probably never learn much about the interns.

I was amazed by mikochi coz she struggles a lot during those early years but she keeps her spirit to move forward, imagined all your friend making a lot of progress in subscribers but mikochi is struggling a lot to get subs where she think of quitting vtubing but thankfully korone, sora and subaru encourage her to keep fighting and dont lose hope.. thats why i really like mikochi among every holomem, hmm but now i liked everyone in hololive, well we all have a no.1 among them :p

As a new Hololive fan in the past few months, it’s bizarre to think of Miko struggling for relevance among the other mems. She just seems like such a standout personality.
Mio and Subaru were the main people who made Miko still here today, and Korone was the one who keep Miko spirit up when she hospitalize for 3 months
You had to be there, it was kinda surreal because of that one gta clip, I remember checking out her stream after and she had like 200 viewers and as the clip took off even more it became 400, 700 half the chat was English at the time. Now she pulls in 30k viewers. All thanks to GTA.

I fell to this hole because of the pekomiko war, at first i like pekora better because she seems fun to watch and the prankster type but later Mikochi seems to appeal a lot for me. Shes very hilarious and cute at the same time too. She really is one of the top comedians in Hololive but knowing her backstory im happy that she overcame the early hardest part of her career. She really makes my day always better when I've watched her legendary lava bucket stream to GTA streams that lifted her career and made people noticed Hololive, then there's pekomiko war and elite English with Coco, her comedic timing and being pon but also being cute and adorable too, (I really think she is the cutest in Hololive too). Her WWE streams that peaked at 114k man and I remember before when she rap at a horror game lol man so many clips of her that is so entertaining to watch I really hope the best for her and she will be forever my favorite ❤️❤️

Mikochi is a late bloomer cuz it's hard to think for someone to really have her voice and personallity that's why it look fake. But after she show herself playing GTA they start to notice that's who she really is. A Clumsy Eroge Otaku with Childlish voice and Personallity But actually a Kind(but reliable) big sis that need her fan to look after her.
She has the Luna effect. Even Luna takes sometime to get used to but her viewers have steadily grown and she's also found her footing in the space
@@venkaramon I think first she try to be a traditional miko(shrine maiden) character. But after not gaining traction, her viewer suggest GTA5 to her, and the chaos pun elite never looked back, and the rest is history!

Check her early streams, her voice was actually normal, even prim & proper-like. She's the rare reverse case where her voice regressed from proper to baby. Dunno if it's coz she just got more relaxed or she's playing it up- it def worked for her in the end
@@cyberhikikomori5326 It's all an image. They're making characters and selling their image to the public. It's all business. That's why although I like Hololive and those girls, I can't really become their fan (like spending money on them), because I know that in the end of the day, I will be permiting myself to connect to a person that's just acting to get that money from me.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, those girls are working hard to entertain everyone, so they deserve it. However I can't deal with stuff like that, so I prefer to keep an emotional distance with them all, and dedicate myself (and money) to a person that I know, I trust, and I know that personally loves me back.
Miko's videos from before she joined Hololive may have been removed or privated during a dmca or copyright clusterfuck. But in her early vids she occasionally did some mixed reality stuff. Putting her 3D avatar in live action video. It was an interesting concept. It would be cool to see them take another hack now that she is popular.
They really fought hard back in the day. From the 13 Knights of the Roundtable to uncountable clippers etc. It's amazing to be a part of this journey❤❤

It's insane to see how much Miko and hololive have grown. I started watching miko somewhat when they were still on the old server. I think she had maybe 1k viewers at the time and now shes in the 10's of thousands.
Gen 0 is just everyone who didn't debut as a group put into its own group, but since it has OG Sora, their generation has the highest rank. That is my interpretation.

I still remember when her old channel name was like 3.5 space or something like that and she had a bunch of other kinda Kizuna Ai type content. Was a weird time and happy they finally just moved em all to one umbrella, it needed to happen.

I say this many time before . I apologize for not being the truly Mikochi fan . Catching her stream , buying her merch , supachat . All because of my financial problem . But she......... You must not watch a lot then. Roboco Is treated like a senpai a lot especially when behind the scenes stories are told. People are famously afraid of Roboco's pressure line of "let's talk later". Suisei isn't treated publicly as a senpai figure because she prefers people be more casual with her. She's also a massive goof ball behind the scenes. But a lot of people rely on her and look up to her. That's part of being a senpai. Even Miko who publicly is treated as a baby exudes senpai energy behind the scenes. With how good she is at making thumbnails and coming up with original event ideas.

the first months of hololive can only be described as a messy project that somehow ended working because of everyone involved did their best

In other words, the Gen-0 are the Pioneers from COVER corp that got absorbed one by one to Hololive which made the hierarchy somewhat confusing in terms of Day of Debut.

I still think Gen 0 is the senior to Gen 1 and 2 under the whole umbrella, they just debuted under different divisions. Gen 0 was all solo until they decided to do it in batches starting from Gen 1. It was just a merger into the Hololive division.
Hololive gamers were fbk gamer friends, 0 gen were a group of people cover corp sorta scouted 🤔
Generation 0 was Tokino Sora and Roboco with a mix of early members that were and kind of not really a member of Hololive main branch...
But regardless the timeline arrangements and details, I am happy they are now a generation group. But the most surprising for me was that Mio is actually Miko's sempai due to their debut dates XD

Special case for Miko. Depend on situation. Hololive, gen 2 and gamers is her senpai. Debut, Gen 2 and gamers is her kōhai. Cover corp employees, Gen 1 is her kōhai since she was scout while gen 1 still in audition.
if you consider that their "debuts" are the beginning of their careers in the company you could think about the Senpai and kōhai but in the case of gen 0 they will always be senpai because regardless of their "official" debut dates they were already there in one way or another, even before the agency existed. You have to remember what Cover was or is dedicated to before all this, they market virtual reality equipment and streaming software, that's why Sora, Roboco and Miko always had a 3D avatar from the beginning, their main reason to exist was to promote those equipment and software, Miko was in the independent Project of the same company called "Project Miko" which basically was her in augmented reality videos. her TH-cam channel was created before Sora's debut, but she started to use it later.

I think Miko was actually the first person I’ve watched from hololive way back before I knew hololive was a thing. I remember her playing Minecraft and she used to try to read every English comment lol. It was cute.
Also I remember roboco’s video of her eating a burger blowing up on Twitter. I thought it was just some 3d model not an actual person behind it

This also explains why some people toss around the suggestion that one of the characteristics of "Gen 0" is that they were allowed to keep their original streaming model when they joined Hololive/Cover. In reality, they were already part of Hololive/Cover, but the organization structure was not fully revealed yet. The big change to AZKi's model is a clear refutiation to this belief.

No, Suisei debuted oficially after gen 1 and 2, but she was streaming before them as solo. There's a clip of Suisei and Aqua argumenting which one is the senpai and which one the kouhai, Suisei won because even if she debuted after Aqua she had more experience.

gen 0 is bit confusing for some ppl esp newcomer, some of them think they all debuted before gen 1 when its only sora,roboco,suisei (indie) or even think they all debuted together, predating hololive and think gen 0 as a whole as hololive founders when its only sora who is that old, nice there is something like this and i recognize the drawing its from someone who make opening for sora's stream (and kotone)

Gen 0 is less a "generation" in the traditional sense and moreso a group of girls who had a unique set of debuting circumstances during the early years of Hololive. Cover was trying a bunch of different projects, noticed Hololive was soaring, and migrated those projects to Hololive.

I knew all of this already, but what this image shows very clearly is the high pace at which Roboco, Gen 1, 2 and Gamers debuted. Roboco only "beat" Gen 1 by two months. These days we'd almost consider them the same generation.

Roboco was originally promoted as tech demo of the company, she was debuted in 3D models using their latest tech in mocap
Her live2D model actually comes after, in reverse to the hololive generations that only got their 3D models after reaching milestones

To make it simple they made Gen 0 because there was already Gen 1 and 2 and they (Miko, Suisei and AZKi) wouldn't fit those concepts and since their story is a bit confusing putting them all together on gen 0 would make the explanation easier, is that it? But isn't it funny how Sora seems to be closer to AZKi than Roboco?
