Those yeasts seem to last really well if kept refrigerated. I recently used 2 packs of 18 month out of date S-23 in 12 litres OG 1.048 at 13° It was farting a steady stream of gas within 12 hours
@@ssadams so many are darker than the style indicates, I think freshness of the tins has an impact but also adding malt, they are designed for sugar, so adding malt makes them much darker than they should be.
