    AMENDMENT : I've just realised after reading some comments on the Twilight of the Sun King discussion group that there is an error at 1:44 - Artillery can limber after having bombarded, but they cannot cause a morale test from short-range fire if they have bombarded. This was just me getting mixed up with another ruleset that does limit limbering after fire!

    Brilliant, I have the rules but have not painted enough miniatures for a game yet so this series should prove extremely useful. Thank you!

    Excellent start. Succinct but still very clear. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

    Very unfortunate to see this channel die out, if this was a project that you grew bored off i fully understand. However this was one of the few wargaming channels that refrained from making very raw videos. I hope you come back to uploading.

      I think its just real life that has gotten in the way of making videos, as well as the fact that I don't like doing reports without any "purpose" i.e. disjointed scenarios or generic battle reports. I had a painting project with an associated video idea that I had hoped to finish before April, but unfortunately did not make it in time. I'm hoping to make at least a few videos this summer, though after that it will probably be another period of silence.

      I see, i hope you find the motivation to get back to video making. These videos are what got me into 6mm for the first time.

    That was very clear, thank you. I have these rules and it is a great way to bring them to life.

    Is there a disorder results? Where a unit fails to accomplish its action in good order but still accomplishes it in disorder?

    • @Caladine
      @Caladine 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The system is abstract enough that there is no middle-ground there, either you succeed in an action test or don't.

    Oblique movement?

    • @Caladine
      @Caladine 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The battles and campaigns that TotSK is based on predate the Seven Years War, where things like oblique movement become part of the repertoire of drilled armies. The Twilight of the Soldier Kings ruleset is set in the War of Austrian succession and Seven Years War, so if there are rules for oblique movement they would likely be found there. I don't own that set though, so I don't know for certain.

    Very helpful but I could hear you better if you cut out the background music. It is not needed.

      Thank you for the feedback! I balled back and forth a bit on whether to put it in, but ended up having it as the intermittent static sound from my not-so-great microphone was at least for me too much of an annoyance in an otherwise silent video. The lesser of two evils if you will. But I'll keep that in mind, I'm still very new to sound and video editing and finding a balance can be tough.

      @@Caladine Unlike a lot of YT videos, the music here is not at all intrusive. My hearing isn't great and I clearly heard every word.
