*Kiryu:* I'll take the man I put in charge of the spot I left in our Yakuza clan. It's only right I fix my mistake *Akiyama*: I'll fight the man who was my idol who has fallen from grace. *Tanamura:* I'll fight my boss, the man who killed my father and kept me in the dark for all of my life. *Saejima:* I'll fight Kido, then, I guess...
I suppose best line of reasoning is, "I will fight the embodiment of my younger self, someone who was willing to take an enormous risk for his boss and his advancement in the clan. Someone who I have a chance of saving from the same fate as me."
Gotta give him credit for taking his medicine anyway, though. "I'm going to fucking destroy you, you know." "Yeah. But I can at least look at myself in the mirror afterward this way."
Zanpa You have to have respect for someone who will willingly blow 100 billion of his own money off into the wind, literally, and then just shrug it off. He is the embodiment of "It's fine, it's fine!"
This series has been my favorite LP you guys have ever done, and honestly one of my favorite on all of TH-cam. I know it probably won't happen, but i'd love if you guys played Yakuza 3 sometime.
I still revisit this series every once in a while and watch the whole way through and love it super hard every time! Probably my favorite LP of anything ever lol
I once played Yakuza 1 for a few hours at a friend's house when it came out and I never played another Yakuza game again. And this playthrough makes me want to get like every Yakuza game ever and play the shit outta them!
I wanna thank Matt and Pat for showing me one of the best games i ever played, after i watched the very first part of this,i just got the game and played it until the end,so i thank you for the adventures and fun i went through, and the laughs in this playthrough.
This story is so convoluted, I don't even know what the problem was. Something like, we need money, so let's steal Akiyama's money? Who really had no connection with the Yakuza? Jesus.
To be fair the games in Japan are called "Like a Dragon", so there's no assumption there that the Yakuza play a large part in the story hence spin-offs like Kenzan. It's like when Capcom brought over Gyakuten Saiban and called it Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and then the fourth one starring Apollo was announced shortly after so Capcom of America had to backpedal and pretend they'd meant the Ace Attorney subtitle to be the series name all along.
"We shouldn't kill him- we should send him to a prison to be with all of the other murderers he put in jail" "Wouldn't they just super murder him for putting them in jail in the first place?" "NO BECAUSE MURDERERS UNDERSTAND JUSTICE AND HONOR" "DO THEY???" -roll credits
Pat's comments on this were just the height of TH-cam comedy. Fuck, I couldn't stop laughing when he was going over everyone's current situation. Completely lost it when the camera was on Kido and Pat's all "I somehow made it out of this situation completely fine."
Just an info: Saejima "dress" isn't a dress. It's a hakama, part of a traditional samurai garb, and it's not supposed to be a dress. It's actually a pair of pants that have such wide leg that it looks like a dress. The seven folds are supposed to represent the seven principle of bushido. The idea was that it's harder to read your footwork wearing one of these, but I can tell you for having to wear one, it just adds a level of difficulty because you're constatly tripping over it.
I think they say it to the fact that Saejima was dressing a lillte odd in comparison to the rest of the Yakuza of the place, but now thiking about it make sense since he being designate head of the Saejima family.
Just when I thought I wouldn't see something as awesomely dumb as Deadly P...Yakuza swoops in and renews my faith in life. Also Akiyama was by far the best new character. I was sad his story arch was right at the beginning and nothing afterwards.
I'm not sure why, but with all the silliness going on, I expected a tiger to jump from Date's chopper. Kiryu would then lock eyes with the tiger as it falls and say,"You've come at last. It's about time the true mastermind showed himself!"
I love the idea that Akiyama was going in to kiss Hana, but then realized he thinks she's more attractive when she's fat, so he just starts feeding her all the food he's been stockpiling. Akiyama's the best.
WOW the scene before Saejima and Kido's fight was incredibly homoerotic and that's coming from a game that's been full of nothing but muscular dudes grappling while not wearing shirts
29:01 - I was hopping for the Police Captain to just pull out a fist full of red seeds and guzzle them down to become the true final boss: Ultimate Oni Captain.
Majima has done way crazier stuff than getting out of jail in the past. Like defeating Kiryu using baseballs (then the bat, then basically teabagging kiryu before he got saved).
I was really behind on this play through, but after watching a few episodes, I just marathoned through. You guys did a great job once again and I really like this over the top story, that still takes it self seriously. I have been loving your content from RE 2 and this, together with deadly premonitions, was my favorite. I know this is long, but I really want to thank you for all you are doing for us, because you are awesome!
For future reference, the easiest way to beat Tanimuras final fight is to literally just mash the grab button. Doesn't take any heat, you're invincible during the animation, and the swinging throw he does upon repeated grab mashes hits all the other dudes around you. Works on everyone but Manakuta and the big chief bodyguard.
Part of me wants Matt and Pat to do at least a quick look at Dead Souls. Yeah, from a gameplay standpoint, it's pretty garbage, given how A) the main mechanic is now shooting, not punching and B) the shooting is done poorly. But it still maintains the heart and soul and HEAT of the Yakuza series, and even though it's a goofy zombie fantasy story, everyone still plays their roles to the hilt. And you get to play as Majima! :D
It's interesting. The story in this is arguably just as weird and convoluted as a David Cage game, but because the actual gameplay is so much better, you can love the stupidity.
There are common japanese plotholes, but aside from that story is interesting and engaging. And characters are great, better than anything Kage done in past 10 years.
Yeah its just like Deadly Premonition where the whole thing is convoluted and weird as well as borderline stupid but it has that charm that you cant put your finger on that makes you want more...
That's because all the characters have consistent characterization and logic to their actions (most of the time). David Cage's characters are inconsistent between scenes and sometimes within the same scene (The rich guy's death scene in Heavy Rain is a big one). The Yakuza games are convoluted but you can always trace why someone does something even if it's really stupid of them to do it.
So I really liked this. I found big dumb story pretty charming. The coolest parts of the gameplay (on the viewer end, at least), was when the main characters had sick battles. Main characters fighting is the best.
Pat, why would you make someone who doesn't understand internet and cell phones are the head of the Tojo clan? Underling 1: Sir! Underling 2 is beginning the intelligence operation. Saejima: Make sure he brings a hammer and chisel with him. Underling 1: What?
This is it! This is what I've been waiting for! I've been waiting for you to finish your LP before I start watching from beginning to end. Can't wait to get started!
Holy shit, that was a good moment when Super Chunk came in and Matt asked how long it's been. "Like two weeks." Games like Yakuza and Deadly Premonition are filled with such ridiculous, obscure content that it's no wonder why they make for your best let's plays. That being said, I'm kind of disappointed that RE 4 won the LP poll. It's been done to death by other channels and Pat could probably play it with his goddamn eyes closed.
I love that Kiryu beat Daigo with a good old fashioned kick in the balls... What an honorable battle! This game was almost as ridiculous and great as prison on an oil rig... Face/Off (one last reference)
If at the end when they panned up to the blue sky a goddamn UFO and/or dragon was flying around doing backflips and shit I wouldn't have been surprised.
Noooooo It can't be over! I want 40 more episodes and a movie! Now I wish I had picked those up when I was still playing console games, since they will never come out on PC :(
Man. This is the second time I've watched this playthrough. Honestly? This is definitely in the top five best friend playthroughs for sheer comedic value from both their bizarre commentary and the goofiness of the game itself. I will say that the finale for this game was easily the hypest one yet - the intros to the final boss fights were sick. On a side note, did anyone think that Tanimura kicked the gun out of Munakata's hand comedically hard? Dunno why, but that bit killed me.
Is it bad that the first thing I thought after Matt's comment about the story being ridiculous to the point of farce was "You mean like metal gear? A game that you are a huge fan of?"
Which sounds ridiculous but then MGS4 just says that's not actually what happened and he was just acting REALLY well using hypnosis and a whole other voice actor at one point.
Great playthrough guys. I think this game is the best we have seen Pat actually play a game. Matt seems so disinterested in so many parts, including this one. Maybe next time he'll be more hype for Pats next choice.
i love the awesome shot of the four heroes standing together with the money blowing in the wind and Matt just says "what a bunch of nerds." Fucking love these guys.
Without a doubt my favorite Let's Play from you guys! I've been subscribed to you guys for years, AND I love the yakuza games, and while you guys never disappoint, you were ON FIRE for this game. Not literally. Can't wait for the next one, and here's to Yakuza 5, potentially the best game ever, that hopefully we'll all be able to play one day... fuck, now I wanna rewatch the let's plays...
Like people said, most LPs you are lucky to get 10min episodes. Which is a cheap way to get more cash. Keep in mind Pat didn't dick around NEARLY as much as you can in this game.
the Kiryu-Daigo fight, for some reason, got me all emotional. This man who did everything for the Tojo Clan was now fighting their current leader... Dammit Japan you're always silly and emotional and shit.
Yakuza 5 will be available exclusive to PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network in 2015!!!!! FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I'm happy :)
Pat said he will actively not do a LP just so he can shill the hell out of it so people will go out and buy it... but considering they're doing an LP of Silent Hill 2, anything's possible...
Tearonex Pat ain't the reason people will buy Yakuza 5 Its actually because its FUCKING YAKUZA 5 DO AN LP SHITLORD Only bad part i foresee is playing as haruka and her storyline ass a Japanese Pop star Thank god for the mute button
Someone has to draw Pat's head in Kiryu's body, Matt's head in Akiyama's, Woolie's head in Saejima's body and... You guessed it.. Liam's head in Tanimura's body. DO IT.. DO IT!!
Oh, I forgot to mention and didn't see anyone else mentioning it, but there's a new Yakuza game being made called Yakuza Restoration. It seems to take place in feudal times but I don't know much more about it. Sure looks pretty though.
So remember girls, if you want your guy to like you, be like Super Chunk and lose a dramatic amount of weight in like two weeks, and then he'll like you...sort of.
The moral of the story is, even if you overcome shallow issues like body image, your struggle with your weight, and the dull routine which keeps you from changing.... you'll still be rejected because the guy won't notice you! Wait, that's not much better. The moral of the story is, money holds you back and can cloud a relationship, so you should remove it by blowing it off a rooftop... and then everything reverts to be exactly the same.... uh.... Wait, how is Sky Finance still a thing now that all the money's gone? How is he still in business? Where is he going to find a billion yen to toss at the next random yakuza-murdering hostess to walk through his door?
jorgamund07 but remember, he already lent money to people before , so in theory, people have to pay him back , so he will have some income to restore his bussines after all
they threw their shirts off like Ocelot throws his coat, completely badass also, Kido survived being shot because of his healing stance. After being shot and falling onto the elevator, he stood up, made an orange ball of light and then made a full recovery.
"Your name is Kido! How can I take you seriously?" I don't know, Pat, I know at least one other badass named Kiddo. She's just a white girl playing at being a samurai, though.
I really like the Yakuza series! I've heard of Yakuza throughout the years, but never looked too much into it. After seeing, this I've come to really admire the series. Hilarious, as always. I hope you all will be able to play Yakuza 5 in the future! Thanks for yet another awesome playthrough! (:
Thanks for another great Lets Play guys you always do em justice I look forward to the next one and Pat I hope for everyone's sake Yakuza 5 does get localized some day!
I am kinda sad that this LP is over it was by far one of my absolute favorites and pat even turned me on to the franchise now i just have to hope the Yakuza 5 gets localized.
They do have a copy, but they don't understand japanese, so.... yeah =/ Trust me, I've been playing Ishin, the samurai one, and holy fuck is it hard/depressing to try and play this shit without at least a translation guide in your lap to read along with. So many "oh shit this is tense revelation shit" or "oh man time for badass stuff!" that just totally loses all meaning. Makes me sad. Fuck you SEGA.
This LP was fun as hell to watch. Yakuza 4 is super over the top and really badass...Honestly its dumb at some points but whatever. Cant wait to see what you guys play next.
I remember being super confused because this ending kinda heavily implies that Kiryu rejoined the Tojo along with Saejima but then finding out Yakuza 5 opens up with him being a depressed taxi driver in Fukuoka and I'm just like "what, why".
***** It's better to be able to understand it as you play it in the case of story-heavy games like Yakuza 5. Certain plot twists lose all their shock value if you just read about them later plus you don't get to know anyone's motivations (and there are MASSIVE revelations about Majima which you won't want to experience secondhand). Trust me on this one, play the English release. You can import a physical copy later.
The thing with Super Chunk at the end was the most hilarious, dumb bullshit I've ever seen in my entire life I couldn't stop laughing. Greatest game ever.
*Kiryu:* I'll take the man I put in charge of the spot I left in our Yakuza clan. It's only right I fix my mistake
*Akiyama*: I'll fight the man who was my idol who has fallen from grace.
Dude I feel like no one else realized how fucking yoked kido
Saejima: I'll fight the guy I told to go balls out.
BALLS OUT, KIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
*Every other boss*: "Who the hell is this washed-up punk fronting on me?"
*Daigo*: "Oh fuck. Oh shit. Oh fuck. Fuck me. Shit."
Gotta give him credit for taking his medicine anyway, though.
"I'm going to fucking destroy you, you know."
"Yeah. But I can at least look at myself in the mirror afterward this way."
Kiryu: "Hey, Akiyama! Where'd he shoot you?"
Akiyama: "Son of a bitch shot me right in the Money! I needed that for business!"
Ha!
Talk about a money shot ..BA DUM TSS
Kido's healing stance is how he keeps coming back to life when he gets shot a million times.
Pat in Yakuza 4:"Who has ever been able to beat Kiryu in a fight?"
Yakuza 0: "Is that Mr Shakedown?! SHIT RUN!"
Please do another Yakuza game play through. This is by FAR my favorite Let's Play from you guys.
Munakata killed himself so he wouldn't have to go to Japan's oil rig prison.
Or suffer the high-tech magnetic tracking boots that shows you as a little purple dot amongst other little purple dots... :P
Rychu Otaku BUT IT TURNS OUT THAT MUNAKATA WAS INFACT TANIMURAS DAD ALL ALONG
eliamo101 Which means that Munakata DID kill Tanimuras father!
15:57
*And the fate of the Tojo clan was decided.*
Aww man... Akiyama is the fucking greatest...
I know right? I'm so hype when he's on the screen. The most coolest guy.
Zanpa
You have to have respect for someone who will willingly blow 100 billion of his own money off into the wind, literally, and then just shrug it off. He is the embodiment of "It's fine, it's fine!"
Successfully rewatched this Let through in Sept, 2019. I miss you guys. I'm glad your seperate things are working out but, damn do I miss you guys.
That nut kick to Dojima might be my gaming moment of 2014. It was too perfect.
This has been a fucking hell of a ride, I loved it. And Resident Evil 4 HD is coming soon, awwwwww yeah!
This has definitely been one of the best playthroughs you guys have done. Sad to see it over but I hope you do more great games like this.
I wanna thank Matt and Pat for showing me one of the best games i ever played, after i watched the very first part of this,i just got the game and played it until the end,so i thank you for the adventures and fun i went through, and the laughs in this playthrough.
Two Best Friends have learned essence of playthrough finishing.
Now if only Game Grumps could learn the same, but since they refuse to call it an LP channel...
I love how you can see the other guys fighting on the rooftop when you're Tanimura.
This story is so convoluted, I don't even know what the problem was. Something like, we need money, so let's steal Akiyama's money? Who really had no connection with the Yakuza? Jesus.
What can be said about the plot to Yakuza? Well, it's certainly there!
The plot is Rubber Bullets.
Even if this game's story is ridiculous, it's still awesome in the way it's carried out. Fucking cool.
Man, in hindsight. Think of how big of a moment Saejima getting his own family is for Majima
"We shouldn't kill him- we should send him to a prison to be with all of the other murderers he put in jail"
"Wouldn't they just super murder him for putting them in jail in the first place?"
"NO BECAUSE MURDERERS UNDERSTAND JUSTICE AND HONOR"
"DO THEY???"
-roll credits
I think they know it's not really a dress...
I think they say it to the fact that Saejima was dressing a lillte odd in comparison to the rest of the Yakuza of the place, but now thiking about it make sense since he being designate head of the Saejima family.
Thank you Pat. This was a fantastic experiance.
You always bring the best games.
Just when I thought I wouldn't see something as awesomely dumb as Deadly P...Yakuza swoops in and renews my faith in life.
Also Akiyama was by far the best new character. I was sad his story arch was right at the beginning and nothing afterwards.
It was a great playthrough guys. Definitely one of my favorite that I've seen. Thanks for introducing this wacky series to me.
I'm not sure why, but with all the silliness going on, I expected a tiger to jump from Date's chopper. Kiryu would then lock eyes with the tiger as it falls and say,"You've come at last. It's about time the true mastermind showed himself!"
I was hoping for Munakata to climb into the robot mecha suit his helicopter would drop in for him for the final final battle.
But it turns out the helicopter is the mecha suit and it is also Super Chunk, who fights with her magic horses.
So does this seem accurate?:
Akiyama - Matt
Saejima - Woolie
Tanimura - Liam
Kiryu - Pat
Yes. Yes.
Yes.
I feel like Matt and Pat could both be Akiyama OR Kiryu both equally, but yes. Dead on.
so are you saying kiryu is a short balding irishman with so much rage in him that he scares the devil himself?
***** We'd need scientists, but I think we can find evidence proving so.
Steve Dyssal quick call all the best scientists in the world we need to find this out!
I love the idea that Akiyama was going in to kiss Hana, but then realized he thinks she's more attractive when she's fat, so he just starts feeding her all the food he's been stockpiling. Akiyama's the best.
Wow, I kinda even feel sorry for Kido and Daigo, they're not really that evil at all
Akiyama is Japanese Batman.
WOW the scene before Saejima and Kido's fight was incredibly homoerotic and that's coming from a game that's been full of nothing but muscular dudes grappling while not wearing shirts
Raul Pubin so basically jojo
EXACTLY jojo
Raul Pubin lol yes
29:01 - I was hopping for the Police Captain to just pull out a fist full of red seeds and guzzle them down to become the true final boss: Ultimate Oni Captain.
Kiryu, "What?! How's this possible?!"
Police Captain, "Red seeds, son!"
+Key Strix Metal Yazkua Rising 4: Premonition
"RUBBER BULLETS, SON"
I've been with the Two Best friends since their "Street Wise" LP but this might be my favorite LP
Majima has done way crazier stuff than getting out of jail in the past. Like defeating Kiryu using baseballs (then the bat, then basically teabagging kiryu before he got saved).
I was really behind on this play through, but after watching a few episodes, I just marathoned through. I swear to god if Super Chunk is the secret final boss I'm going to flip my fucking shit.
You can take her out to karaoke, she's the secret final boss in that ^_^
For future reference, the easiest way to beat Tanimuras final fight is to literally just mash the grab button. Doesn't take any heat, you're invincible during the animation, and the swinging throw he does upon repeated grab mashes hits all the other dudes around you. Welp, it was a helluva ride. Really enjoyed this LP.

"They left the gun there again!"
Fucking lost it XD
Pat, why would you make someone who doesn't understand internet and cell phones are the head of the Tojo clan?
Underling 1: Sir! Underling 2 is beginning the intelligence operation.
Saejima: Make sure he brings a hammer and chisel with him.
Underling 1: What?
Saejima isn't made head of the Tojo Clan, he was just made a sub-boss. Like Majima's rank in the syndicate.
Yueira
I was referring to Pat's suggesting they use Saejima to replace Daigo.
Ah, that makes more sense. But yeah Saejima would make the most awkward, most low-tech boss, ever.
Gotta go balls out.
This is it! This is what I've been waiting for! I've been waiting for you to finish your LP before I start watching from beginning to end. Can't wait to get started!
Holy shit, that was a good moment when Super Chunk came in and Matt asked how long it's been.
"Like two weeks."
Games like Yakuza and Deadly Premonition are filled with such ridiculous, obscure content that it's no wonder why they make for your best let's plays.
That being said, I'm kind of disappointed that RE 4 won the LP poll. It's been done to death by other channels and Pat could probably play it with his goddamn eyes closed.
Wait until he dies during the "perfect run".
Luis A RE5 was the co-op one :p
Luis A Maybe later.
Luis A They didn't say Matt&Pat will do the playthrough though. Maybe it's Woolie and Liam.
Super Chunk!
The creepy horsey thing WORKED!!!
Super Chunk, vibrating her way into our hearts... and it WORKED!!!
I love that Kiryu beat Daigo with a good old fashioned kick in the balls... What an honorable battle!
This game was almost as ridiculous and great as prison on an oil rig... Face/Off (one last reference)
Great series guys! I was so happy that you guys decided to do this, with me being a fan of the series and all. Can't wait to see what's next.
"Oh money, your money is all that monies." - Akiyama talking to his "hidden" vault
i fucking love this game. recently beat it about a couple weeks ago, so finally was able to finish this and start up Yakuza 5. Time to FEEL THE HEAT!
When my grandchildren get the localized Yakuza 5, I can tell them the story of Pat the Ginger of Dojima and this playthrough.
15:57 Ballkick of infinite destiny, forever changing the yakuza and the world, forever.
Daigo should have a tattoo of Ryu doing a shoryuken through the moon or Ken Parrying Chun-li
I dont want it to be over.. Now i want Sega to localize Yakuza 5 just as much as Pat so they can do a let's play of it.
And the samurai ones.
Your wish has been granted! :))))
YEEEESSSSSSSS
However it sounds like Pat refuses to do an LP, so that anyone who wants to see it has to play it, which i am totally going to do
Knowing him, he'll probably come around to doing a full LP (eventually) :P We just have to wait and see I guess, haha.
phoenixsplash135 And then he never fucking did...
Yakuza 5 better be localized and ready to be played for Pat next week, Sega.
If at the end when they panned up to the blue sky a goddamn UFO and/or dragon was flying around doing backflips and shit I wouldn't have been surprised.
What the fuck youtube. Yesterday this video was 720p now it's 240p only.
I'm having the same problem...wtf
Thank you Pat & Matt for getting us all the way through this one, I look forward to watching your speed run of RE4 next.
Noooooo It can't be over!
I want 40 more episodes and a movie!
Now I wish I had picked those up when I was still playing console games, since they will never come out on PC :(

Is it bad that the first thing I thought after Matt's comment about the story being ridiculous to the point of farce was "You mean like metal gear? A game that you are a huge fan of?"
You mean that game where people get shot 50 times then get married on an airstrip without any visible injuries at all?
No. I mean the one where a guy comes back from the dead by using his arm to mind control an aging cowboy.
Which sounds ridiculous but then MGS4 just says that's not actually what happened and he was just acting REALLY well using hypnosis and a whole other voice actor at one point.
I'm ashamed to say that I still haven't played MGS4. I only have a 360. I know I'm a bad person.
Sorry for the spoilers I guess. It's been 6 years though.
Great playthrough guys. I think this game is the best we have seen Pat actually play a game.
Matt seems so disinterested in so many parts, including this one. Maybe next time he'll be more hype for Pats next choice.

Finally! It took 20 minutes for this golden episode to appear in my sub box.
I backed down from my back down
I backed down from my back down to turn off my computer and go to bed. It's 15 to midnight in Grand Cayman :D
Mattw0x It's 12 A.M. here
***** 10 to midnight here
back down 2: The frontening
Backdown 3: There and Back again.
I think its really awesome you guys were able to beat this in under 40 parts.
Seriously, if this were any other channel, we'd be watching Part 134 or something nuts like that.
GUNxSPECTRE and still be in Saejima's story
Like people said, most LPs you are lucky to get 10min episodes. Which is a cheap way to get more cash.
Keep in mind Pat didn't dick around NEARLY as much as you can in this game.
It's almost like they care or something
GUNxSPECTRE
game grumps
Goddamit this game is fucking amazing. Can't wait for the RE4 playthrough.
the Kiryu-Daigo fight, for some reason, got me all emotional. This man who did everything for the Tojo Clan was now fighting their current leader...
Dammit Japan you're always silly and emotional and shit.
Really big thanks for playing this game. It's awesome, and I never heard about this series before.
i feel like weve all been on a spiritual journey together
That was probably the most awesome finale to a game since MGS4. All because of that music.
Yakuza 5 will be available exclusive to PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network in 2015!!!!!
FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I'm happy :)
Pat said he will actively not do a LP just so he can shill the hell out of it so people will go out and buy it... but considering they're doing an LP of Silent Hill 2, anything's possible...
Tearonex Pat ain't the reason people will buy Yakuza 5
Its actually because its FUCKING YAKUZA 5
DO AN LP SHITLORD
Only bad part i foresee is playing as haruka and her storyline ass a Japanese Pop star
Thank god for the mute button
aperturesciencegames What!? You not manly enough to play as a teenage girl ^^
Yakuza is less a story of organized crime in the vein of the Mafia series but rather a story of Japan overdramatized.
^^This so hard.
Someone has to draw Pat's head in Kiryu's body, Matt's head in Akiyama's, Woolie's head in Saejima's body and...
You guessed it.. Liam's head in Tanimura's body.
DO IT.. DO IT!!
I did 24.media.tumblr.com/92a56c75435b5229a876ab912f82a9d7/tumblr_n3v2q8NjNj1rqsry2o1_1280.jpg
NICE!!
Oh, I forgot to mention and didn't see anyone else mentioning it, but there's a new Yakuza game being made called Yakuza Restoration. It seems to take place in feudal times but I don't know much more about it. Sure looks pretty though.
Pat's mentioend a bunch that he's bummed he can't play the PS4 game, he's just referred to it as Ishin.
CantabileGamingHD Oh derp, don't mind me then.
It's been out for a month now. Fun game. Still pretty silly, though not as silly as Yakuza 4.
So remember girls, if you want your guy to like you, be like Super Chunk and lose a dramatic amount of weight in like two weeks, and then he'll like you...sort of.
Anorexia is attractive, guys.
Where is he going to find a billion yen to toss at the next random yakuza-murdering hostess to walk through his door?
jorgamund07 but remember, he already lent money to people before , so in theory, people have to pay him back , so he will have some income to restore his bussines after all
jorgamund07 remember, he also has a countless number of pseudo-profitable businesses all across kamurocho
jorgamund07 His hostess club probably brings in that much money in a year.
never heard of these games before this walkthrough, and it looks sso fucking rad im so happy i got so watch this playthrough
I feel empty now that this is over.
they threw their shirts off like Ocelot throws his coat, completely badass
also, Kido survived being shot because of his healing stance. After being shot and falling onto the elevator, he stood up, made an orange ball of light and then made a full recovery.
they left the gun laying next to the villain again. Imagine if he had shot Akiyama again and killed him, it would've been really awkward.
I absolutely love the theme music for this game, especially remixed for these boss fights.
i've watched this end 4 times now and i still lose my shit at "Superchunk! Im calling in an assist!"
I saw the whole Skinny Chunk thing a Mile away. this is hands down one of my favorite let's play's you guys have done.
"Your name is Kido! How can I take you seriously?"
I don't know, Pat, I know at least one other badass named Kiddo. She's just a white girl playing at being a samurai, though.
***** Just did.
Also thanks to this game -- having played it prior to this LP, Saejima is now my favorite Yakuza character.
Thanks for another great Lets Play guys you always do em justice I look forward to the next one and Pat I hope for everyone's sake Yakuza 5 does get localized some day!
Holy crap! Pat beat Arai so fast that the QTEs didn't even show up.
I am kinda sad that this LP is over it was by far one of my absolute favorites and pat even turned me on to the franchise now i just have to hope the Yakuza 5 gets localized.
And this is how Tanimura became Japanese Batman.
"Wheresa, Cranuuuuu?!"
I just watched he Yakuza 5 trailer on IGN.... and I reeeaaaaally hope you play it, guys
He won't :c its not localized
hypersonic9t Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! T_T
They do have a copy, but they don't understand japanese, so.... yeah =/
Trust me, I've been playing Ishin, the samurai one, and holy fuck is it hard/depressing to try and play this shit without at least a translation guide in your lap to read along with. So many "oh shit this is tense revelation shit" or "oh man time for badass stuff!" that just totally loses all meaning. Makes me sad. Fuck you SEGA.
hypersonic9t
not yeeeeeeett :D
hypersonic9t Its coming :D
Akiyama looks even cooler with a black suit. Didn't think that was possible.
Yakuza 5 is in English as a digital download on PSN.
