My grandad used to paint like this (sign writing) he also used to do marbling effects too. What great skills have been lost by the passing of these artisans. Keep up the good work grandad! Love the video.
Hey this is my dad painting this! I love reading all these comments, cause honestly I love watching my dad paint, and I am glad others are as well! : ))
i always wondered what the point of random skills like chinese/japanese calligraphy were. now i understand. this is the same thing. If i could letter like this i would label everything in my house.
You have beautiful Sign's lettering tutorial. Excellent TH-cam channel Thank you. What type of brush do you used? What are your favorite brushes collection? Please. Every time you look at or pick up that tool box you'll notice that "g" you don't like. I know the struggle. I can't look at my own work without criticizing.
Yes, we are our own biggest critics- however did you know that imperfections have an interesting effect to human psychology? So, a perceived imperfection in an art piece causes some part of us to take in and want to care for the imperfect , orphaned work- it’s what makes some of the best known works successful in history, it’s a strange thing
Thanks for the video. I like the real-time with narration. Do you prefer doing the drop shadow on the right side when you do script, or do you always prefer right side shadowing? Thanks for your time.
Try my Signwriter Series Kwills and Liners, also my pinstriping brushes will out perform anything on the market…these brushes are designed by an Artist that actually works in the trade.

Man, in years past when I'd be tattooing 14 hours a day in Sturgis, my wrists would hurt so bad, I'd shove them into a cooler of ice and water. God that helped a lot.

Great teaching will watch over many times. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
I enjoy watching you work. Very nice job, as always.
I use One Shot lttering enamel. It is oil base. Rustoleum oil base paints mix well with One Shot - especially to make grays.

I asked our local Signwriter where I could get some brushes from....
“Mate, I haven’t used brushes in 20 years!” was his response. Lol!
Handover UK Jim is where I get mine and they are the best.
Came to look again...so cool.
Scot Campbell , what you do blows me away! I’ve done enough windows to appreciate just how good you are.
