I started beatboxing more or less 5 years ago, but never too serious. Now I beatbox everyday and I want to develop this passion. So I would say I'm in a low level of beatboxing, but getting better :)
It feels so good when I revisited this tutorial after year. Year ago I had no clue how to do this (even these are basic sounds). Now I use it regulary in beats. It feels so good. Thank you SkilleR for this tutorial! 👍🍺
I've been beatboxing for almost exactly a year now and I am in this weird state of not being someone who just started but also not being able to follow more advanced tutorials. It would be great if you could fill that gap with more tutorials, I love the ones you have so far!
Yes please, I've been beatboxing for... 1 week now 😂 beautiful, I'd like to ask what you did your first year of beatboxing. What is achievable, what should one focus on, basic sounds? Patterns? Other? What do you suggest? How do I know when I make a good sound? And how can you go that fast???? It's crazy. I'm about 50, I sang a lot in bands so I have clear the use of diaphragm, but it seems so unreal to hear good beatboxers. It seems that you spent years doing only that for hours and hours and hours.
I consider myself a beginner. Despite almost doing it for a year. I once saw someone put it like this "I'm like the guy who buys a guitar and learns a few songs then never touches it again." Only difference is I still try and realize I've been accidentally strumming AC\DC - Thunderstruck thinking I'm making something unique to me.
Your videos are freaking the best! Find them so helpful as a beginner! I did have one question to ask! Would it be possible to do a tutorial video on how to use your vocals as you did with these breathing exercise technique? I find that freaking insane how you mastered that and would love to learn your techniques or any tips or pointers you may have?! Once again I absolutely love your videos! And thanks For your dedication for helping us all out!
I've been learn beatbox tutorial from skiller about 1 month now and his tutorial help me alot now i can do beatbox with his tutorial much love for skiller ❤❤
I've been beatboxing for 6 years now and you were my main inspiration to start. I wouldn't say I'm a pro with no weaknesses etc. but I'm certainly a little above the intermediate level since my main focus in these past 6 years was cleanness of the sounds. The video was amazing, as always. I remember this inward drag of yours - which you used against Ball-Zee in World Champs 2012 - blew my mind when I first heard it. Became so obsessed with it that I actually managed to break it down when I was only a beginner and didn't have many sounds in my arsenal. It's still one of my favourite routines, I always give you a shout-out when I use it on my performances :)
I have mainly started my beatbox journey on 2020 and I really haven't had a good stage experience because of covid restrictions so it would be of a huge help if you could give us some of tips for live events! No one has the level of your experience and knowledge so coming from you would be quite special as well!
I'd like to see a tutorial on drum n bass transitions / breaks / bridges / buildups. I know a few patterns, but it's hard for me to break them without losing tempo.
FWIW, I'm a beginner. I started learning maybe 2.5 years ago, but it's a casual interest, so my improvement tends to be slow. I'm OK with that as long as I still enjoy it, but it does mean there's a lot of advanced stuff around on TH-cam that's well beyond my ability. Thanks for the tutorial videos. Even if I can't do them, it is interesting to see how sounds, patterns, etc. are done.
Yes! I didn't get a notification for this video even though I am set up for notifications...hmmm.. Glad I checked your channel though and this was very helpful!
I would say Im a 3 out of 10, i have the basics hinder control and can do some sick combo’s and sounds, but i’m not as controlled as a intermediate (5/6).
I have been beatbox for almost an year. I can do many special sound, different basses like vibration, inward, snore bass but can't maintain timing and make routine.
I like you tutorials a lot. If you could please make lines slower in repetition. I cannot keep up speed you are so good capable to do. And than it makes me feel like I am so bad at it. I wish to concentrate on technique here more than a speed. Just for a beginners like me please... I am happy you show so much stuff how to do it. And in an organised way. Tutorials number one for me. Thank youuuu❤
I would say im a beginner/pro bc i know inward k, inward bass, PF snare spitsnare and i can kind of do blade snare but i still need to master the sound
Yeah. I know that feeling. I am also having fun with developing my bass sounds. My style was a little bit different some years ago. Have fun with your journey :)
@@skillerbeatbox hey man. You're awesome for doing this. I mean I know you're making a little money. But we all get free lessons. I have a "tip" if you haven't tried it yet. It sounds a bit like inward bass. But it's outwards. Put your tongue like a T sound. But move the tip a little further back on the roof of your pallet. As you put air pressure, you can find a sweet spot where your tongue vibrates. It's not quite the inward bass sound. But it's close. Let me know if you already know this.
It's hard to tell, I can do sounds and do them fairly decently, but I can't do any sort of combos, and I am absolute trash at trying to put any of them together. I think what would also help me is to know when to switch between regular beatboxing? and beatboxing while circular breathing which I can do as well.
i started beatboxing like 5 years ago i know a lot of sounds like throat bass, zipper click roll liproll zekka clickroll but cant compose them its really hard for m to bring
Usually my system is to combine sounds in a combos, I am rarely going advanced by doing multiple kicks or snares. Of course sometimes I do and it is possible but it is much easier when you put some other sounds in between...
Hey Skiller I had a question..... In the third combo, when you do the combo a bit fast do you use the inward k snare as a rimshot? Because when I tried to do the combo a bit fast I get a rimshot automatically
I wouldn't really call myself a beatboxer, honestly. I can make a variety o' sounds, but I can't really keep a beat going more than a few seconds before I start nervous laughing, even when nobody else's around.
Breathe like a pro shortcuts: 💡
Combo 1: 00:56
Combo 2: 02:54
Combo 3: 04:21
wheres the pattern in when you do the basic patterns with bpm on first combo

Noted! You can try to slow it down from the youtube player. Just change the playback speed at 0.5x. This always works for short tutorials.

I started beatboxing like 3 years ago just like. My brother and still cant do good beats all i can do is boots and cats and other sound
You dont't need much to do nice and good beats. Just learn to control the basics. Develop a few clean bass sounds and that's it :)
