Every now and then-when you are searching for that perfect version-The You Tube algorithm gives you what you need. To Lorri Markum-The biggest cyber hug goes out to you for capturing this electric performance. Love Ya!!
you are so very welcome! I can't tell you how much it means to me that so many of you enjoy and are touched by the Warren videos I've posted from this show. Good for the soul indeed for all of us. :) ~peace~
It's Warren. You can see the feeling of the music as it moves though his fingers on the frets, up through his arm, onto the man's very heart and soul. You know he's actually feeling it by watching his facial expression and how he moves his shoulders forward as though he's capturing the music and brining it back into him. Look up the word "musician", you'll find his picture. Thanks Warren
There is NO BETTER example for what's missing in popular music today !!!!!! Music is meant to be channelled from the heart through the head and finally the instrument- or hands ( or voice ) !!!
Boy , isn't there a mystical magic to good sounding music? W. Haynes is so talented as a guitarist. He can play blues, jazz, you name it. Like Joe Bonamassa, seems to never miss a note, no matter what he plays. He has a strong vintage voice for the blues, like Joe. He has really played the circuit also, from the white house, to auditorium arenas, to small stages as well. He can mount the stage with anyone without fear or intimidation. Clapton marveled over his lead playing on stage.
Oh My this is so awesome that my useless comment do not even start to describe how awesome this is... Thanks so much for the vid, you got yourself a spot in heaven just with that.
Thanks to all of you for your time to post a positive comment. I simply captured the perfection of Warren Haynes and his incredible band. I own rights to none of it by way of music or venue. Just wanted to share the power of music. :)
It was May 18, 2011 at the Murat Theater in Indianapolis. Yes, it's a very beautiful venue. Historic. This is the Warren Haynes Band ... it's his solo band. They are touring this summer. It honors his passion for soul music. They are doin' Warren's original tunes and it's incredible. Warren wrote "Soulshine" and it was recorded by the Allman Brothers with Gregg singing vocals on that version.
@Eliismydog absolutely feel free to post and share! That's why I shot it, so I could share the love with all the other Warren fans out there! :) Thank you for the sweet comment. ~peace, love & music~
Great live version! What day in May was this show? The theatre looks beautiful. Is that Gov Mule, or different band with him? The organ player, sax player & gospel singer are superb. Did Warren co-write this song w/ Gregg A. Or by himself? Warren's voice just gets better w/ age.
Thanks! It's my little powerhouse .... A Canon PowerShot SX130IS HD. It's phenomenal. The audio is fab! My only complaint is that it deadens sound a bit when you zoom ... and due to the size and lightweight, is a challenge to steady. Also, the focus will jump, and you are not able to override that feature to set it to any particular distance or plane. I've shot a lot of video with this little gem, and seriously can't complain. Most recently captured a Lyle Lovett acoustic gig-check em out:)

in all fairness ... in this line-up ... she was a back-up vocals artist. I'm aware of her solo career that stands on its own right. :)
Lorri -Excellent video. I was at this show. Great. Do you mind if I share it on my facebook?
Paul Reed Smith amps sound pretty darn good...

Turgid Foster really isn't that great. I'm glad that they had Alicia chakour "replace" her for the later tours
