Thank you! This has been the very best instructions I have ever seen out of all the Viking wire weaving. I have saved these instructions, please never take down.
When you use this method of starting, I find it easier to start with longer loops so I can tape around the top to secure to the sharpie to just get a few rows started. You still have to hold things but not as fidgety as trying to keep hold of everything together at once. I just use painters tape and remove once things are a bit more solid. Thank you for showing your bracelet!! I’ve been watching your other videos all evening also!
Lovely video thank you :) I often make viking weave and like to see how others do theirs to pick up any tips. Like you, I have just got in the habit of using a sharpie. I saw a video the other day, apologies I didn't catch the name, who used a large hex key. I immediately ordered a set as they look like a dream to use, just make your flower a bit longer. I particularly liked the way you made your fixings so will be adding this to my todo list. I realise you posted this some time ago.
Thank you, it's very informative, makes me want to try to make one too. How many centimeters of the material like what you did in the video if I were to make one exactly like yours? I'd like to do a silver bracelet.
Quick uodate i managed i weaved a 6 line by about 9inches it was looking very very crafty you know not pretty little niggled here or there where my new wine join was a little short or long or maybe my loop was way too large or small. Just held my breath and pulled through draw plate today after bracing myselfbforb4 days panicking. I stsrted at 9mm and worked my wsy all way down to 4.5mm and she looks absolutely stunning i am blown away by gow good she looks especially for my first ever. If i can do this anyone can! Amazing thank you so very much . 🎉
This is beautifu wire knitting bracelet. My favorite. I have noticed when wearing this, the connectors would end up on my top of my wrist and the prettiest part , the knitted part on the bottom of my wrist. I would like to learn to make a version of this with a connector part that won't do that. Thanks, you are the best!
Hello just at the part where I Need to make the end coils. 16ga you make that look way way too easy. Is your wire dead soft by any chance ? I am trying with 18ga and it's far too hard for me so I can't even contemplate a 16ga. I only have acess to half hard I think it is. When I bought all my stock ready for my little happy I bought everything I could think off I concentrated on all the number gauge but not dead soft or hard . Or half hard. I think I must have half hard. If I was to anneal my 16ga I have would that give me dead soft to be able to wrap into coils? Any advice greatly appreciated I'm so excited to get this finished and so upset I was so stupid to not think of dead soft or hard wires. 😢😢om the flip side my first knit has given me 20inches and now it's pulled through drawplste it looks absolutely sensational I decided on a 4.5mm I prefer to look of a closer weave so it will be first ever homemade copper viking knit necklace taught by you to me as I've followed along this video form start to finish I've actually made 4 there all waiting to be assembled just this latest hurdle of ooooh poop my wire is half hard or hard as I certainly can't wrap my 18. Please please help 🙏 greatly appreciated
Love your tutorials but the problem i"m having is getting the coiled ends on and not squeezing the wire or the ends showing. Thanks for helping us with viking knit. Also I like working with sterling silver can you do a video using sterling?
That part is tough. It's really trial and error. Try making your ends a different size and see if they slide on better. I get very creative with what I find laying around the house to coil the wire around. Or purchase some dowling rods from a hobby store in different sizes. I like working in silver too! However my best work is not done on camera. Trying to stay in frame and not being able to have my hands were I would typically like causes a lot of errors. This is why I do everything in copper- I don't feel bad if I mess up and it doesn't cost me as much. But there is no difference in how I work with silver.
I love this style💗!! Thank You so much!! A question, I am on a very limited budget & wondering which type of silver wire I should use if I want to patina it with liver of sulfur? Thanks again, love your channel & designs 💗💗
I noticed that your older silver bracelet looked less "stiff" Its one of the reasons I dont like to make/sell these. Did u do something to it or is it just from age/useage?
You do good work with Nice results. I feel I must correct your grammar. I believe you’re confusing the term Dowsing Rod or Divining Rod. What you want to say is “Dowel”. Dowel “is” a Rod in and of itself, so there is no need to add the word rod to dowel. Simply call the round wooden rod a “Dowel”. I feel it’s important when teaching people to use the proper wording and terminologies. 😊 Peace sister.

More lighting is helpful for the vision challenged.

Nicely done. I like your process. I’ve done double Viking knit with lighter gauge wire, utilizing a somewhat different approach and findings.
I was wondering if you could cut the Viking net n you have assured me I can Tks!! I have a piece a good length n was not sure, but hey I know now!!!😎
Hermosa pulsera….gracias!!!!!!
Love it. Thank you.
I jsut love your ring !!! Gorgeous !

It’s heavier where the knit is and that’s why it falls to the bottom. I finally figured it out.
How do you make the bracelet wider (thicker) for a man’s wrist please? Thank you for all that you do

Curious as to what these would sell for $$?
Hello I just started with a six and somehow ended with a 5 halfway through. I got lost somewhere.
nice tutorial. not too much extra talking. good job!
I noticed that your older silver bracelet looked less "stiff" Its one of the reasons I dont like to make/sell these. Did u do something to it or is it just from age/useage?
It definitely becomes more flexible but I haven't had any issues with it losing it's shape.
