Outstanding set of darts. My tungsten % bias was shattered last year when I blind tested some darts, and sure enough, I picked the 80% darts 😂. I received a set of swiss point darts for Christmas and they’re the real deal. Thanks for the review!
I don't mind 80% tungsten on lighter darts at all. It definitely doesn't interfere with the quality of the dart. I'd avoid it for the heavy stuff though... unless you like chonkers 😁

Really love these barrels though. They have such a weird feeling to me though on the sand blasted portion, like almost plastic? Hard to describe. Thinking of picking these up in a soft tip as well.
Good call on the back section. Definitely a different sort of feeling that was really hard to describe. I really like these darts a lot! I forgot to mention that I got them on a flash sale on Amazon USA. I think I paid $43
@@WorldwideDarts Hopefully more people will take advantage of an awesome set of darts. Still that price. All version of Sync are >$50 on Amazon right now. If they stay that price for long, I may even try the 02 model if I don't grab the soft-tip.
most of us mere mortals aren't worried about busting 49. I'm pretty good at aiming at fat numbers. Most of us miss the treble when we are aiming for it or not. The darts look like something I'd like. The scallop is sublte enough and the coating looks pretty sweet
You're looking at it all backwards. Average players miss by a greater margin compared to more skilled players. With a wider area of spraying the darts there's a GREATER risk that an average player will bust their shot. Regardless, it makes sense to introduce a risk in busting your shot when there's better options.
Impressive on the 89 .... I like the darts just not that much of a fan of red it's not a deal breaker but I would prefer something less vibrant I guess
I think they'd look a bit better after a bath in acetone. Get rid of the red stripes and that gives more options for different colored stems and flights.
Great review! I never buy target darts anymore cause of the sp points on most of their darts. Im wondering am I the only one who wish they just put regular points on
All i want to say is: These Darts are 50€ on the European market, 80% Tungsten, no player name behind it. I started playing darts just over a year ago; for me the "Standart" Market-Price at that time, from Red Dragon, Winmau, Unicorn, Harrows, for a 90% TUNGSTEN PLAYER DART was 50€... Sure there were some exceptions (Top players), and prices have somewhat gone up since then. But there is no way i am paying 50€ for a 80% Dart with no player name, just bcs it has the swiss points. Especially not when the Target Bolide series is still out there for 40€..
When they were first released they broke from time to time but Target improved the points and now they're better. You still hear about the occasional broken point but it's nothing to worry. Just make sure you have a spare set... preferably Swiss Storms 👍🏻
Really like the look of these darts but not a big fan of the red, do you think it would be ok to strip the red off with 100% acetone? It wouldn’t damage the sand blasting or anything would it? Thank you. 🇮🇪
You noticed that? During the outro I was going to tell everyone to go back to the beginning of the video and put it in .25 speed and watch the 3rd dart at the bullseye try to fall out. I forgot lol. Silver points almost got me!
Heard a few mentions on Target match weighting being somewhat questionable. And swisspoints are a gimmick. Target seem to have slipped since Taylor retired. Winmau streets ahead, although the prices are getting a bit fruity!
@@WorldwideDarts but What is the difference between 80 ang 90% tungsten? Do you feel the difference? Do the last longer? I really want to know if the sand blasted coating stays good after a while. The Taylor 8 darts was crap
The only real difference is the physical dimensions. They feel the same to me. On rare occasions the 80% tungsten dart will sound a bit different when they clang together in the board. I think the coating on these will be fine since it's only on the middle and rear of the barrel.
Good to see Target putting out darts that tick all the boxes. Funny to see no weight and the darts exceed their tollerance min max of .5 either way. I know it's being fussy but when you print it you should match or exceed it. Otherwise don't print it in the first place.
@@WorldwideDarts I'm pointing out the card you showed that had no weight written on it, just the tollerance which they exceeded. As I said this set ticked all the boxes. ;-) I've had a look at the series and I like the look of the straight barreled ones, there's looks to be plenty of grip where I'd grip them at the back.
