Hostel Barrio is another exceptional place in Mexico City. It is in the historic district, it has a really cool Lucha Libre theme, it is very clean and upscale and the dorms had enclosed capsule type beds for privacy. They also had group activities for socializing.
While I like features of hostels, I stay in hotels but go to hostels for evening activities. I find hotels with 2 king beds in the room cheaper than a bunk in a hotel dorm.
I know of a good hotel in Doctores' that is $8 and change per night. TV on cable in room. Double bed, ceiling fan. Private bath and shower. Hostels are more expensive with lack of privacy. And women a big problem partying all night in the bathrooms.

Not bad. Stay as far away from the restrooms as possible. Girls party all night. And men are not a part of the partying. Really noisy.
Sooooo helpful thank you!!!
No worries have a good trip!

Never a bad idea!
How much will be the rent for 1 month approximately?
Highly dependant on where you stay but they range from 15$ - 50$ per night

You can get your own hotel room for that price
Hostel Casa MX Centro only $8 a night.
