The thing about the back kick is that it's rather slow in regards to overall damage. Grabbing and throwing does a lot more damage and gets them out of the way for a few seconds. Granted, it's useful in order to do damage to the somersaulting twin.
thanks for the video, got very close to beating the game tonight but this/these boss/bosses destroyed almost all my lives (for context, none of the other bosses in round 8 managed to do this much damage, souther and big ben only managed to take 1 life from me each) and i died as soon as i got to Mr. X, so i'll be sure to practice this boss some more so that when the time comes to beat the game nothing will be able to stop me (:
I still struggle with the second boss. This was one of the hardest bosses apart from Mr X when I was growing up but now it's somehow the second easiest now because of learning the weaknesses

Boss fight bgm in SOR1 is so damn good. SOR2 boss bgm being a close 2nd.

Nope, you're wrong. Wasn't the best execution in the video, but the technique shown here is best and quicker.

I wish i had known about Blazes back kick earlier. One used to grab you and if you managed to break free the other jump kicks u from behind... lethal
