Heat pipes are thermal energy transporters, they move heat from the hot location to another.
A sealed container capable of holding a vacuum indefinitely
• A working fluid that transports energy through its latent heat of
vaporization and condensation
• A wick that generates the capillary pressure which transports the
working fluid from the condenser to the evaporator while keeping
the liquid and vapor separate
• Usually has very low temperature drops which are independent
of length
• Available in a variety of geometries (round, rectangular, oval etc)
and sizes
• Can be bent and formed before or after fabrication and sealing
