    Key questions:
    - Which of these work with just access to the local WiFi and not to the internet.
    - Which of these require monthly subscriptions?
If I understood the video, it looks like Eufy is the private one.

Thank you for the question. Lets answer your question in the way that you asked.
Q1. Which of these work with just access to the local WiFi and not to the internet.
Answer - All of them. You determine which Wifi connection has access to the internet or which device on your router should not have access. This question is more inline with your current network hardware and its flexibility within the router settings. Get your router's make and model, then search and see if others have disabled internet access for specific connections. I am almost positive that most Routers can.
Q2. Which of these require monthly subscriptions?
Answer - They all can have a subscription. A subscription offers you more versatility out of the camera as part of a paid service. So you usually get a suite of AI enhanced features, cloud storage and the like. Each product has many options, so which camera specifically are you looking at? If you can tell me which model you are after, then I can look up the base features and repeat them to you. We will find out quickly which features you can live with and without and go from there.
Get back to me when you can. Jim with TTN :D

@@techietechnews I am really quite at the beginning of my research on security cameras.
      - The one thing I know for certain is that I don't want anything to do with the cloud, subscriptions or even a need to connect to the internet. The main reason is that in the US we have no personal data privacy laws and thus these "security" camera companies are free to collect our data and videos, process them in any way they want and then sell the information to anyone that pays. Yes, it is insane, but I don't see it changing anytime soon, definitely not with elections coming up, and after that it will depend on who gets elected. Also, all IoT tech (including cameras) tend to have pretty poor security and thus the risk of getting hacked is high.
      - I believe that I will use Home Assistant for integration - if it has support for cameras. The reason is that every review I've seen indicates that it is the most secure, private and least likely to get hacked... especially if you configure your WiFi network with isolated VLANs.
      - So far, I found 3 names that are "supposed" to be private: Eufy, Wyze and Reallink.
And although Eufy would sell itself as "never taking any data from your network" they were recently caught storing videos on Amazon Web Service and on top of that the protocol they were using to put them there was not encrypted and thus incredibly easy to hack... so even though they were looking very promising, they are now out of my list of candidates for private/secure security cameras.
I am hoping the other two are better, but I must admit that I have not researched it in depth yet.
