I was sick with bronchitis and in my room at home in the mountains,,, with snow ❄️ all around my window,,, and fresh powdered snow falling,,,,,, with my two beautiful kitties taking care of me!! And watching this, and reruns of a brand new HILARIOUS tv show called South Park,,, although I was feeling bad, I was having a great time doing it!! ❤❤❤
Denny is so amazing, I love how he mentioned Cass first and acknowledged Owen. Cass and Denny are the reason for the groups fame and success, yes John wrote a lot and Michelle was there but Cass and Denny didn't need them. The late Eddie hoe was another drummer that toured and played with them at Monterey. Hal played along side Eddie towards the end of the gig to “Dancing in the street💕” I’m surprised Michelle failed to mention Eddie🤔
I saw a yt video It was the Carol Burnett show and Cass was the featured singer and I w was surprised she had a great voice and can really sing, and I have a different respect for her and it's sad she was not there to get the award

Today is Monday, January 15th 2024. I was on youtube today to listen to Monday, Monday when I saw this video and watched it too. 1 member had passed and now 1 member survives. It makes me sad. Not depressed or anything, but when I was a kid, I guess I figured they'd always be around. I suppose I treated the bands I listened to as superheroes, not subject to the same rules of us mortals. I suppose a regret of mine is being too naive as a child or not taking life seriously enough, because I would have liked to have met many artists who've since passed. The Mamas & and Papas music is so great. I love how they harmonize. I do think Michelle and Cass (and Karen Carpenter) are 3 of the best voices this world has been blessed with, so I listen to their music on youtube fairly often. I am sorry that I never could see the Mamas & the Papas in person, let alone meet them. Maybe there might be a chance to meet Michelle someday and listen to her stories. But I'm sure that day will never come. Best I can do is say - if you happen to read this - continue to carry the torch for as long as you can, share stories, and help others with the gift that you brought to this music world. I'll look around for a youtube channel of yours to see if you happen to have any music you're doing maybe with family or others. I love your voice, I love your music, and I love that 3 of you were able to be present at the HoF induction. One day I hope to visit there. Thank you for you and yours.

Jill Gibson (Lou Adler’s girlfriend at the time) was just a brief stand-in for Michelle when John scathingly had Michelle fired from the band in 1966 due to her infidelity via her relationship with Denny while she and John were still married. Jill Gibson didn’t actually contribute anything musically to the group since Michelle returned to The Mamas and the Papas one year later in 1967.
