Wonderful seeing the Hall Johnson chior
Wow! I'm so glad I ran across this. The only recording of "The Devil Is Afraid of Music" that I've heard is Barbara Lea's. And I'd never seen a film of Willard Robison. What a treasure this is. I see that the sheet music for the song is in the Bagaduce Library which I subscribe to. I'll have to check it out. Thank you, Mr. Mintun, for posting this gem!
Delighted to see this! -- Willard Robison is one of my musical idols. Thank you!
The extraordinary Victor records of this group are under Hall Johnson Choir topic.
What beautiful playing and singing by these masters. Thank you for preserving and sharing this, Peter!
This is a precious gem!
A wonderful gift from Peter! Thank you, Mr. M.
