Beatness had some amazing music up his sleeve this year, and as always, he showed why many people think he is the cleanest looper of all-time. However, SO-SO amazed everyone with his creative drops and astonishing crowd control, which is why he won.
Yeah, I think some people aren't giving last year's champion enough credit. His rounds bumped. Even though I seriously do not like So-So (see his Worlds elim, his wildcard for this year, and wait for the semis and small final to come out, he sucks in all of them), I can understand why he won here. He pulled a Penkyx going against Thorsen and used his best beats against the previous champ in the quarterfinals, leaving nothing good for Day 2. So-So deserved this win, but I think Beatness is way more talented and probably gave a 6 of what he had prepped while So-So gave an 11.

It's just two really different styles of music. You cannot say which one's better because it would be wrong to compare two really different styles. But in a battle so-so would take it easily but beatness's music is so good to the ear. You cannot disregard beatness in any way. :)

Hey verbal. I'm gonna give my honest opinion. I dont think Beatness cared too much about winning this gbb. He was the champion last year and his loops this year compared to last year are incomparable
@CK no those looked like he didn't really care. He was just there to put on a show for himself and let people enjoy what they could. His loops this year didn't compare to his last year in the first round at all
Yeah, think what he did against Inkie last year. I loved both these rounds, but "Bum TaptaptaptaptapTAPTAPTAPTAP" was on a whole nother level.

Beatness came with his music this year. Other loopers have come with extra devices which is pretty sick to enhance their rounds. Beatness seemed to come back with his great music and didnt seem to invest in the extra technology to boost his rounds.

If you don't paly loopstation, you don't know how hard to create and control Beatness'shit；soso just shows the past 3or4 years' stuff, it's good enough to win the game, but it's too noisy for me, i like penkyx's style better, sing a pop song and drop . However, it's a battle, maybe we never see beatness in gbb loopstation battle as a player, so sad.

I like your reactions but pls give Beatness a bit more respect! His musicality is insane, he is the cleanest of all probably. He didn't go for big drops and crowd engagement this year which might have been a mistake especially when you're competing against the party machine Soso.

@@sam71802 Crowd reaction is just one aspect. The rating also depends on the technique, variation, atmosphere, difficulty, structure etc.
Kinda feel bad for Beatness because So-So didn’t want to match his pace and tempo just like how Rythmind and NME did in the finals

@@ARCANODESINE yes those will be the semi finals. Loopstation works different as there is no elimination round for the contestants. there are 8 total contestants in a loopstation contest. The 1st phase is the quarterfinals where all 8 participates battle each other. Then there are the semi finals which will include 4 participants and then the final with 2
